JAI #166 - Colour challenge


Hi Everyone,

I hope those of you that were able to attend Convention over the last few days thoroughly enjoyed yourselves.  Today I spent the day and my old High School's 50th Anniversary celebrations and spent a great day getting reaquainted with many friends from old school days.  I even participated in Roll calls and had photographs taken with those that went to school in my year.  We had perfect weather for it too.

Today's card is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge

I've made an Easel Card with the Top Notes die out of a Crumb Cake base and added a panel to the centre top from Midnight Muse cut with the Apothecary Accent Framelits which I pierced with the matching Paper Piercing template.  Here is my card.



The patterned paper on the base is from the Pack Comfort Cafe and the greeting is from the retiring set Perfect Punches.  I've decorated the top with the Little Leaves die and Butterflies from Papillon Potpourri set and matching punches.  You can see in these photos how I've layered and 3D them.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
