Crumb Cake Guy Greetings Birthday card

Image
Hello Everyone, It's another fine Sunny day here in Oz.  I'm loving the weather at the moment. Today's card is another from the many I've made recently with the Woodland embossing folder.  How great is it for male cards? I feel like I've really got my value from it already.  Here it is. On this one the Car has been stamped separately, fussy cut and raised on foam over the card. The cardstock I've used is Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Tip Top Taupe and the Ink is Tip Top Taupe inside the embossing folder combined with Memto Black ink for the stamping. Here's the full pic of my card today. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  The end of the year is drawing closer so I hope 2016 is a great one for you.

Stamp Ink Paper #28 - Guy Greetings flip card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper and Happy Tuesday :-)  Here are the details of  our challenge, which is pretty self explanatory. I decided to take this opportunity to show you a card I've made for my Father.  His Birthday is New Year's Day and I've made a flip style card using the Label thinlit card die combined with Guy Greetings and paper from the Winter Wonderland specialty pack. This style of card is a little more difficult to photograph, so please bare with me as I've taken several shots to show all sides. The cardstock I've used is Crumb Cake for the base, Basic Black and Whisper White with Memento Black ink used for stamping the images. Here's the flip side Here's a closer look at the flip panel and the reverse, or the back of the card The white panel on the reverse allows plenty of room to write a personal message. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I can't wait

More Masculine Birthday cards

Image
Hi Everyone, I have a couple more Male cards to show you today, again using the same technique with the Woodland Embossing folder.  It's become a favourite of late and on these cards I've combined with the Guy Greetings stamps.  Here is the first one. I've used cardstock of Basic Gray and Whisper White here with Smoky Slate Ink inside the embossing folder and Memento Black ink for the stamped images from the Guy Greetings stamp set.  The greeting has been punched out with the Decorative Label punch, raised on dimentionals and a Tiny black clip added from my stash of vintage SU products.  The closeup is below. This is the second one. The cardstock is Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Whisper White.  Smoky Slate card was used this time inside the embossing folder with Memento Black ink inside.  The large greeting comes from the Hostess stamp set called Happy Birthday, Everyone and the car comes from the Guy Greetings stamp set.  It was stamped a second time

Festival of Trees Male Birthday card

Hi Everyone, I've been working on making a few Masculine cards of late.  Some of these will be needed for our family and some will be sent to the gift shop that I supply some cards to.  In any event, they will come in handy.  It never hurts to have some masculine cards on hand. I particularly like this Woodland embossing folder that I've inked inside and I've used this technique a few times.  In fact we used this technique at my end of year class.  I was able to sell a few of these folders and the good news is that Stampin' Up have decided to keep this one seeing as it was popular. My card is made with Basic Black and Sahara Sand cardstock.  Come and take a look. I've used Memento Black ink for both stamp sets, Festival of Trees and Guy Greetings and also brayered onto the inside of the embossing folder before the card was placed inside and put through the Big Shot.  The greeting has been stamped onto Sahara Sand card and punched with the extra large Ov

Happy Christmas

Hello Everyone, I have another Christmas card to share today that I made in a bit of a hurry.  Its a really quick one that used some extra bits on my table left over from yesterday's card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge. The cardstock I've used is Old Olive, Whisper White and Real Red.  There is a small piece of patterned paper from the Merry Moments paper pack that I've used as a border on this card and the greeting comes from the Oh What Fun stamp set.  've stamped it with Real Red and Old Olive and I've cut it out with the Lots of Labels framelits and mat it onto a larger one.  The Whisper white background of my card has been embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. One of the smaller wooden snowflakes from the Snowflake Elements pack has been added to the patterned border on my card. Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a very Happy Christmas.

Pear Congrats

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I did, catching up with family at our Annual Cox family Christmas which is also an opportunity to see my Grandma just before her birthday.  She actually turned 95 today.  We went from the family do in Maleny down to Brisbane and stayed with my youngest Sister for the remainder of the weekend so that my youngest to could attend her first Rock Festival ever held at the Riverstage in Brisbane.  Consequently I had no cards posted over the weekend, but I did get a new card finished today.  Come and look. The cardstock used is Old Olive and Basic Black.  The pear paper comes from the Designer pack called Farmers Market.  I added some Natural ribbon to the card and layered my Congrats greeting from the Expressions Natural Elements pack onto Black card and an Old Olive tag cut with the Lots of Labels framelits. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day.

A Birthday card for a dear Lady

Image
Hello Everyone, I wanted to show you quickly a card I whipped up this arvo for my Grandma's Birthday.  We will be seeing her in the morning for our Annual Extended family Christmas (the Cox family) which is my Mum's side of the family.  This coincides with my Grandma's, affectionately known as Gubby's birthday.  Gubby will be 95 this year if memory serves me correctly and I knew I wanted to have florals on her card.  She loves her garden.  Come and have a look. I had to combine the floral paper with one of my favourite layered butterflies cut with the Butterfly thinlit dies.  The cardstock on this card is Wisteria Wonder, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant.  The white background was embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder and the Birthday greeting comes from a vintage stamp set called Well Scripted. Here's the full picture of the finished card. Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope your Christmas preparations are going well.

Butterfly Anniversary Card

Image
Hi Everyone, I have a simple but elegant card to share with you today using Butterfly thinlits and Butterfly Basics stamps.  Come and have a look. The cardstock I've used is Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.  I've also used some Tip Top Taupe print from the 12 x 12 " paper stack and Tip Top Taupe ink for the ferns from Butterfly Basics stamp set.  On this card I've chosen to use the Anniversary greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set which has been punched out with the Word Window punch and layered onto a punched Washi Tape panel.  The Circle and scallop frame were cut with the Circle collection framelits. I love the combination of the Taupe with the black here. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Swallowtail Celebrate

Hi Everyone, I missed posting yesterday because of Friday night basketball.  It was the last one for this year, the end of the season and my daughters team remained undefeated.  I'm just a little bit proud of these girls.  They worked so hard this year and improved so much.  We are now looking forward to the break for Christmas holidays. Today's card features the Swallowtail stamp which I've combined with Butterfly thinlits.  Come and have a look. The ink used on the Swallowtail stamp is Wisteria Wonder and the cardstock used is Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White.  I've also used some Wisteria Wonder ribbon from my stash and I've had a go at colouring my Celebrate from the Expressions Natural elements with my white chalk pen then Wisteria Wonder Marker.  Here's the finished card. An Iced Rhinestone finishes off the butterfly centre.  I love layering my butterflies like this. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful w
