Can You Case It? #65

Image
Hello from Australia, Welcome to another Sunday challenge at Can You Case It?  This week the challenge is to keep it clean and quick with a card that can be made in under 10 minutes.  Here are the details. I've used an old favourite stamp set for the images on my card today.  It's called  Blooming with Kindness.  Come and have a look. The Cardstock used is Night of Navy, Island Indigo and Whisper White.  The patterned paper comes from the pack called Printed Blooms.  I love these floral designs.  This triangle piece was actually an offcut from an early card I made recently.   I love when you can use your scraps up.  Actually it was planned that way, so there would be no waste. Here's a closeup of the stamped images.  I've used inks of Soft Sky and Night of Navy here and I've added a little butterfly cut with the Beautiful Wings embosslits from Island Indigo card to match the punched border. Thanks so mu...

Lotus Blossom Mother's Day Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How has your Saturday been?  I had my class here this morning which  is always an excuse for a lovely social gathering with the ladies.  My daughter made a Lemon cake for us for morning tea and we had a good catchup on all the news too. Today I'm sharing a card that I already had half done yesterday and just had to put the finishing touches to it.  I've used the Lotus Blossom sale-a-bration set.  Come and see. The cardstock I've used is Perfect Plum and Whisper White.  The Lotus Blossom stamp has been stamped with Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum and Pink Pirouette ink for the flower and Old Olive ink for the stem.  A simple Happy Mother's Day greeting has been stamped with the Wonderful mother stamp set and punched with the Small Oval punch.   The white background for the card was embossed with the Spring Flowers embossing folder.   I like the simple elegance of the single bloom here with all the white backgro...

Just for You Kookaburra Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Are you ready for the weekend?  I am not.  I have a class tomorrow morning that I'm still preparing the cardstock and kits for and I'm also wanting to get some baking done.  I fear it will be another late night for me.  That usually happens before a class. Today I'm sharing a commissioned card that I was asked to make for an older gentleman that likes birds of the feathered variety.  I decided to use the Kookaburra image from A Happy Thing sale-a-bration stamp set.  I kept the colouring to a minimum with this card and used a cool technique on the background.  Come and have a look. The cardstock used is Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  I mentioned a cool technique on the background.  That's actually the Sahara Sand layer where I inked inside the Woodgrain embossing folder with the Soft Sky inkpad before placing the card inside and running it through the Bigshot.  See how the raised areas ...

Sheer Perfection Birthday

Image
Hello Everyone, I've made another card today featuring the Sheer Perfection vellum as the background of my card and this time I've coloured in the petals on the reverse to show through.  It creates a pretty and soft coloured effect.  Come and see. I've combined that background with Label Love greeting and a Beautiful wings embossed butterfly.  The Perfect Plum ribbon on the card is from my vintage stash.  The Cardstock used is Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder.   I've used the Dotted Ribbon border punch on the Wisteria card top and bottom and the colouring was done with my markers. Thanks so much for stopping by today to view my card.  Have a great day.

Paper Craft Crew Card sketch challenge #139

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to the Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew . Here's the card I've designed using the sketch.  It's not followed exactly but I think its a fairly close representation.  The cardstock I've chosen to work with here is Island Indigo, Whisper White and Brushed gold.  The Patterned paper comes from the pack called Printed Blooms.  The butterfly has been cut with the Butterfly thinlit dies and I've used Chalk Talk stamp set and matching die on the tag that the butterfly sits on.  There is a some Sahara sand lace, Island indigo ribbon, some little gold punched flowers and a greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. The Whisper White card used on the background has been embossed with the Spring flowers embossing folder. Rhinestones finish off my butterfly and flower centres. We would love you to play along with this weeks challenge so please visit the Paper Craft Crew challenge and see what our ot...

Chalk Talk Tag Card

Image
Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a happy Tuesday.  I was thinking about someone very special when I made this card which combines the Sheer Perfection printed vellum and that particular greeting from the Chalk Talk stamp set cut with the matching framelits.   Come and have a look. The cardstock colours are Perfect Plum, Whisper White and Basic Gray.  The tag has been stamped in Whisper White ink over the Basic Gray and then cut with the matching tag framelit.  The fabric flower has been daubed with a little Wisteria Ink to make it two toned and I've added some White ribbon to the card.  Here's the full view. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope its a good day.

Some Fan Fair Male Cards

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I wanted to use up some vintage paper called Fan Fair and make a couple of quick cards suitable for some males.  Come and have a look. The first one here uses a card base of Basic Gray and I've used a greeting from the Label Love stamp set stamped onto Very Vanilla card to match the cream in the background paper. The second card uses a base of Island Indigo combined with a greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set onto Crumb Cake card.  Both cards use the same or similar papers from the Fan Fair pack for the background and the extra banners and greeting panels, which are double sided sheets and I've also used some Cherry Cobbler card for one of the banners for each card. These were fast cards and will come in handy to keep in much stash for a few male birthdays that I know of coming up. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
