Happy New Year

Hi Everyone,

As it's New Years Eve here, this will be my last post for 2012.  I wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year and a fantastic & crafty 2013.

Here is a photo of some of the beautiful handmade Christmas Cards my family and I received this year from friends & family, and I wanted to share them before we pack away all our Christmas decorations for another year.

Do you have New Years Eve plans?  Whatever you have planned, I wish you a very Happy New Year.

I've used the stamp set Everything Eleanor and SAB Set Vintage Verses.  I've used a little retired Spice Cake dsp on my card and I've coloured the flower centres and the Vintage Brad with Dazzling Gold marker pen from the Holiday mini.

Thanks for looking, and please remember to pop back and vote on the Paper Craft Crew Challenge for your favorite card  from Wednesday.

Happy New Year everyone.

A Quick Card

Hi Everyone,

How is your Boxing Day going.  Ours is pretty laid back today, just lazing around.  No visitors today apart from Grandma and Grandad popping over to say hello, as we are travelling down to Broadbeach, Gold Coast for the day tomorrow to visit my family who are all on holiday there until the New Year.

My husband asked if I was going to be making any more cards, as he thought I should clean off my desk, and I said of course I was.  So here is a quick one I've made with some leftover bits and pieces that have been lying around on it for the past few weeks (well that's tidying it off, isn't it?).

I've used only 2 Cardstocks - Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.  The white was embossed with the Oval Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, which is generally used for Christmas as it's so ornate, however I've covered the embossed tree across the bottom with my Happy Birthday Greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners set and used a Double Butterfly, which I had previou…

Freshly Made Sketches #66

Hi Everyone,

This is the latest challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.  I'm trying to find time to squeeze in one more card before Christmas with this sketch.

Here is my card.  I've used the  Ornament Keepsakes Bundle and some Be of Good Cheer Dsp.  My cardstock is Gumball Green, Primrose Pink, Raspberry Ripple and Very Vanilla.  I've also used the Argyle Embossing Folder.

Not long till Santa arrives. As my girls would say, only one more sleep.  It's Christmas Eve, here in Australia.  I hope to be playing along with the challenges again next year.

Thanks for stopping by to view my card.  I really appreciate you looking.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

Create with Connie and Mary #231

Hi Everyone,

Here is the latest sketch from Create with Connie and Mary
that I wanted to play along with before Christmas.

It features a cute tag panel across the card.
I've made this card with some Sale-a-bration product as a Sneak Peek.  The Greeting is from the Stamp Set Vintage Versus and the patterned paper is from the pack called Sycamore Street.  My Cardstock is Midnight Muse, Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White.  I've also added a little butterfly from the Beautiful wings die and embossed the side panel with the Delicate Designs border embossing folder.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy festive season with family and friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #21

Hi Everyone,

This is Challenge No. 21 for the Paper Craft Crew

Here is the challenge!
I've made this card with the Affection Collection Stamp set and Butterfly from Papillon Potpourri with some retired Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper.  My Cardstock is Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White.  Affection Collection set was embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.

Please leave a comment if you like my card, and have a Merry Christmas.

JAI148 - Just Add Christmas

Hi Everyone,

The challenge at Just Add Ink this time is "Just Add Christmas"

I've made this Twisted Easel with the Ornament Keepsakes bundle and a battery operated tealight.

See the difference in the first photo with the tealight candle on.  After seeing several other projects on our Stampin Up demo gallery Stampin Connection I had been on the lookout for these little tealights.  They really give the card that Wow factor.  Here is a photo from the back so you can see that it just sits behind the vellum window.  They were a little expensive to buy individually but my dear husband has since sourced them online for me and I'll be set for next years Christmas classes.

This was just the project and the challenge I needed to go ahead and use it.  My cardstock is Riding Hood Red, Pool Party and Very Vanilla with some Champagne Glimmer.  I've also used vellum, Festival of Prints Paper Stack, Festive piercing pack and Ornament Keepsake Bundle.  The greeting is from the s…

Mojo Monday 272

Hi Everyone,

Here is this weeks Mojo Monday sketch

I've decided to enter the challenge with this card using Tea Shoppe Stamp set, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents framelits and some retired dsp with cardstock Bravo Burgundy, Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla.

I've hand cut my cups and raised them on dimentionals.  It's trimmed with the Pleated Satin Ribbon in Blushing Bride and lace.

Thanks for stopping by.

Silver Wedding Anniversary - You Decide!

Hi Everone,

I busily made these cards needed for a Silver Wedding Anniversary this weekend and after I made the first one, I decided to make another, then I couldn't decide which would be the more appropriate.

Can you help me?

Here they are:-

I've used Apothecary Art stamp set for this card and the greeting from Well Scripted (retired) set.

And on this card I've used Affection Collection with Elements of Style.

Now the general concensus so far is the younger generation prefer Affection Collection with a more modern take and the older prefer the elegance of the Apothecary Art card.  The Jury is still out!

I may just take them both along and let my Aunt decide which one she wants the relatives to sign to give her brother.

Thanks for looking.

Paper Players #126

Hi Everyone,

Here is this weeks Paper Players Challenge

Now I only have one Snowflake stamp set, Snowflake Soiree which I've used but I also have the Snowflurry die.  I've combined the both on my card, but also combined one of the Doily dies within my Glimmer Snowflake to make it a little more special.

My Cardstock is Perfect Plum, Pool Party and Whisper White with Silver Glimmer paper.  I've left lots of white space on the background for the clean style.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my CAS creation.  Don't forget to leave me a quick comment.  I really appreciate them.

Create with Connie and Mary - CCMC 230

Hi Everyone,

This week Create with Connie and Mary have a special colour challenge that I'm playing along with.

I decided to make a Wedding Card with the Affection Collection stamp set.  It's my first time using this one.  I've combined it with the Window Framelits and Lacy Brocade Embossing folder for this Topper Easel card.  I've also stamped with versamark and heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder.

This photo shows the side view of the Easel and this photo shows the close up look.
These are the challenge colours this week - Very Vanilla and Champagne Glimmer
It's a very elegant colour combination indeed.

Thanks for stopping by for a look and please leave me some comments if you like my card.

Merry Christmas

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #20

Hi Everyone,

How are you going this weekend? We've had a Dance Concert for my two girls and School holidays have started here.  It's also my Father in Law's Birthday today and we combined it with an early Christmas Party.  With my girls at home now wanting to be entertained it seems busier than ever and I know Christmas is only around the corner.  I squeezed in this challenge this afternoon.

This is the current sketch challenge for the Paper Craft Crew

I've used the background stamp Pleasant Poppies on my card and it's my first play with it, only just receiving it last week.

I've also used the Greeting from Blooming with Kindness and the Circle from Just Believe stamp sets.  My cardstock is Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White and the patterned paper is from the Twitterpated range.

Thanks for stopping by, and please leave feel free to comment on my card.

Freshly Made Sketches #65

Hi Everyone,

Here is the latest challenge from Freshly Made Sketches that I want to participate in

I wanted to use my favourite Butterfly again on this card.  Here is the result

I've used the Cardstock Colours Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla on this card with some Retired Flirtatious Dsp.  The Butterfly is from the Papillon potpourri set and the greeting Friend is from the Affection Collection.  I've mounted my butterfly on a Sizzlits Doily layered onto a Pennant cut with the Perfect Pennants die.

I hope you like my efforts today, thanks for stopping by.
