Christmas in July Part 2

Image
The final installment of my Christmas in July class.  I had so many ideas and so many cards to choose from, thought I would show a few more we made on the day and a few extra ideas. This is a group photo showing the cards we made at our Christmas in July class. This card was CASE'd from a swap I received at Brisbane Regionals 2011 from my Up Line Liz Collett that I replicated for class.  It featured the Merry & Type stamp set, Letters to Santa Designer Series papers and Mini rectangular embossing folder.  This was a quick easy one for the end of the day. This card here was used for display purposes.  It was CASE'd from my demo friend Ruth Clarke and featured the Pennant Parade Stamp set and Pennant punch to create the 3D tree. This card was also used for display and featured another idea to use more Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper, Edgelits and Many Merry Messages Greeting stamp set.  I made this one very last minute, almost the eve of the class.  I was

Christmas in July Projects

I held my Annual Christmas in July class last weekend, and as promised am back to show you some more of the cards featured in that class.  These cards featured Season of Joy Stamp set available in our current Stampin Up Catalogue.  The first card was inspired by a card I saw on http://www.prettyimpact.com/ and the second one was my own design featuring Faux Mother of Pearl technique and Letters to Santa Designer Series papers also currently available in our catalogue. This next card and closeup to show more of the detail also feature the Season of Joy Stamp set as well as some collage stamping incorporating Winter Post set on the main image and the snowflakes around the greeting.  The greeting is from the Set Many Merry Messages and the background is the En Francais Stamp.  This was our Feature card of the day, an Easel card with lots of elements and a variety of products.  It also featured the Faux Mother of Pearl technique with colouring on Whisper White, a litte bit di

Christmas in July - Stocking Cards

Image
It's getting closer.  I have a few more cards to share before the BIG event this weekend.  I stumbled across a design by the lovely Bronwyn Eastley of a card she had made for Dynamic Duos challenge and thought I could adapt it for a great Christmas Card.  I've used the Letters to Santa Dsp, Framelits and the Stitched Stockings Stamp set and punch again from last years promotion. I've made two cards because I couldn't decide which colour I liked best.  My friend Vicki voted for the blue one.  The last photo shows the inside where I've left a little space for a personal message. Which colour do you like best? If you would like to see Bronwyn's original card please go to http://addinktivedesigns.blogspot.com.au/

Christmas in July is coming soon...............

Thought I'd add a few pics of cards I'll be using for display purposes for my upcoming Christmas in July class.  Combining a bit of old and new here.  Old layout which its getting a revival with some Letters to Santa designer series paper and the Stocking Stamp Set and punch from last years Christmas promotion. This shows the two samples I've made from the front.  The left stocking is stamped with Early Espresso and the right one is stamped with Old Olive and layered onto the framelit label which I've also embossed with the Small Oval embossing folder.  The Merry Christmas greeting is from the stamp set Contempo Christmas. In this photo the card is laying flat. This photo shows what the inside looks like before it's finished off.  Really wanted to show the angle where the triangle is cut from and how it sits on the front of the card, as it's difficult to tell from the front shots where they are standing up. I hope this wets your appetite for a few

Our Local CWA Craft Fair

Image
Well, we had our local Craft Fair the other day, and didn't we know it was Winter.  We had a nasty change in the weather on that morning 23rd June for the start of our school holidays.  It meant it was a little quiet in town that morning.  Here's some photos of me and my table of goodies.  Would have been nice to have a lot lighter load to pack up.  Better luck next time. It was back to school for my girls today, so time for me to get cracking with my Christmas in July cards. Thanks for looking.
