Thinking of You Florets Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How is your Saturday going?  I've had a pretty busy start to the weekend.  We are painting my youngest daughter's bedroom, so everything has had to be removed from the room to prepare it and on top of that I've been playing Mum's taxi because both girls had plans.  At least Anna isn't home tonight to sleep in her bed, because she wouldn't be able to in any case. Onto today's card.  As the retirement list is now out, I have been working on cards using those retiring products.  Today's card uses En Francais Background stamp, stamped onto a tag and the Little Leaves die and flower from the Fabulous Florets stamp set which has been watercoloured. Come have a closer look. I'm also using some paper from the Stack Season of Style.  The cardstock used is Bermuda Bay and Whisper White.  I've used some Rose Red Seam binding in the tag which has been created with the Scallop Tag topper punch.  Here's a picture of the finished

Happy Birthday - Take 2

Image
Hi everyone, Remember how my daughter has a friend having a party this weekend and I was asked to make a card? Sure you do.  Well it didn't get a lot of positive feedback, told it as a little plain.  I went back to the drawing board and doctored the background up.  I added a lot more ink and colour to the background with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  Have a closer look here. I depened the pink colouring on the cupcake and also in the Happy Birthday writing plus added a few small butterflies cut with the Beautiful Wings die.  Here's the finished card. The whole outer edge of the Coastal Cabana Card base has been inked with Island Indigo. So what do you think now, do you think its an improvement?  Do you think its acceptable?  I certainly hope so.  Have a great day.

Beautiful Butterfly with Grunge Birthday Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Wow, its Thursday already.  How the week is flying by.  I can't wait to show you the card I've whipped up today using my Beautiful Butterflies die and stamps of Gorgeous Grunge, En Francais, Petite Petals and Label Love.  Come and have a closer look. I've used Cardstock of Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Bermuda Bay on my card and inks of Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay.  The tab at the top of my card is actually a banner cut with the Hearts a Flutter framelits.  Below is a picture of the card. The base layer of the butterfly was stamped with Gorgeous Grunge and the top layer was embossed with the Delicate Details embossing folder.  I love the colour combo here. Thanks so much for visiting.  I hope you'll leave me some comments, let me know what you think.  Have a lovely day.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #95

Image
Hi Everyone, Another Wednesday and sketch challenge for you brought to you from the Paper Craft Crew .  Here is today's sketch. I'm using the Patterned Paper from the Afternoon Picnic pack combined with card of Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder and Very Vanilla.  I have kept to the basic sketch apart from the chevrons across the card. Here's my card. Quite a collection of elements here hey.  I've used Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Label Something & Petite Petals stamps, Little Leaves die, Hearts Collection Framelits and Petite Petals and Artisan Label punches. Have a closer look. I really do like this colour combination and how this has turned out.  The Decorative Dots embossing folder has been used on my butterfly wing and it was finished with some Basic Pearls.  I also stamped the feelers onto the heart below using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. So what do you think of my card for the Design Team this week.  We hope you will join in with

A Happy Birthday Card for Happy Tuesday,

Image
Hi Everyone, How are you this Happy Tuesday? My daughter has requested a Birthday Card for her friend who is having a party this weekend.  Her only suggestion for me was that she likes Aqua. Apparently nothing already made in my stash fits the bill, so had to make another.  This is my first attempt..LOL. The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo and Whisper White.  I've used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits to create the little banner in the corner and used the stamp set Another Great Year for both the stamped image on the card and the little cupcake which was coloured with blender pens and markers and cut and mounted on the banner.  Below is a closeup of the cupcake. I'll let you know tomorrow whether this card is deemed acceptable by my daughter....Lol. Have a great day.

Celebrate with Backyard Basics

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I have a quick little card made with some leftover bits from my desk.  I've combined a few different elements here, namely Perfectly Penned, Backyard Basics and Wood Panel stamps.  Come and have a look. I've had the little bird from Backyard Basics coloured in and waiting for a place to call home for quite a while and this oval stamped with the Wood Panel background has also been sitting, and was a cut out from a Deco Label frame used on another card.  The little leaves are cut from Always Artichoke card with the die which is about to be retired, and one I will really miss.  Here is the full view of the card. I've also used some Pear Pizzazz retired pleated ribbon on this card and stamped the greeting with Old Olive Ink.  The Cardstock used is Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake. Thanks so much for calling in today.  See you next time.

Love Ya

Hi Everyone, Today's card is pretty fun and casual, much like my day has been and definitely nothing like my normal style, but I like it.  So please feel free to tell me what you think of this one. My Cardstock is Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Strawberry Slush,  The greeting is from the stamp set Just Sayin and I've used a number of different framelits and circle punch. Come and have a closer look. I've used the arrows embossing folder on the background and used framelits from Circle Card and Label Card thinlits and Hearts a flutter.  Here is my card. Thanks so much for calling in today.  Hope you are having a great weekend.

Lattice Florets Make a Wish card

Image
Hello Everyone, How is your weekend going.  It's Saturday night here and because my husband is home, we've had the boys (his friends) visiting.  I escaped to do some craft while they played with cars.  Today's card uses the Lattice Bigz die again, teamed with Fabulous Florets, Papillon Potpourri butterfly and greeting from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.  Come have a closer look. The cardstock used is Pool Party, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I've also used Stazon Black ink for stamping and Pool Party ink for sponging on the flower. Here is my card, a simple square card design. I like the simplicity and clean look of this card.  What do you think of it?  I would love to have your feedback.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Horse Frontier

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I've made another male card using the Horse Frontier stamp set.  This time its a Birthday card.  There are a few male birthdays coming up among family and friends. I've combined the Horse Frontier main image from the set with Wood Panel Background and used the Deco Label framelits to cut out the image.  The Wood Panel background had the centre previously cut out to create a frame which has been layered onto the Early Espresso base.  That Wood Panel cut out was used on an earlier card. The cardstock used here was Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla with both the greeting and image stamped in Early Espresso ink. Thanks very much for calling in to view my card.  Hope you have a fabulous Friday.

The butterfly has been stamped directly onto the patterned paper with Basic Gray ink.  Here is the closeup to show the detail of the card and the Rhinestones which adorn the lattice and my butterfly. The cardstock I've used is Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe with a little Smoky Slate as a punched shadow layer under my butterfly. Thanks so much for calling in today to see my card.  Have a lovely day.

Hello Everyone, Its Monday.  Some people don't like Mondays but I always love the start to my week.  Its my Badminton morning which is always a lot of fun.  Some exercise and social time is a great way to start off my Monday. Onto today's card.  I felt I was due for a Male card this time.  I've combined The Open Sea, Perfectly Preserved and Wood Panel for my card here to create a Ship in a bottle sitting up on the shelf.  Its been done before.  I did make this style of card last year, however this time I'm using the Wood Panel background stamp on Baked Brown Sugar card and I'ved added the Paper doily to the shelf, combined with the Birthday Wishes greeting from the Simply Sketched Hostess stamp set.  Have a closer look. Hello Everyone, How has your weekend been?  I've had a great Sunday catching up with a friend and having lunch with them visiting a little town on the Sunshine Coast where I haven't been in years.  I've also had both girls at school today for Rehearsals for the upcoming School Musical which gave me some Me time. Today's card features the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I saw the idea for this card from one of my Stampin Up demo magazines, only they used Hearts in the sample.  I immediately thought butterflies would be perfect, LOL.  What do you think, good substitute? Have a closer look The patterned papers used are Sweet Sorbet pack from Sale-a-bration and the greeting here is from the Hostess stamp set called Simply Sketched.  My Cardstock is Coastal Cabana which I used for a Square base this time and Whisper White.  Here is the full view. Fabulous Florets Make a Wish card

Image
Hello Everyone, Its been a lazy Saturday here today.  Listened to some music, made some cards, caught up with some friends.  Exactly how I like to spend a weekend seeing as I didn't have a class on or any special plans, other than pick up my daughter from a sleepover this afternoon.  For once I actually could sleep in without having to worry about getting out the door or being on time for something.  Good feeling. This is one of the cards I've finished today using the Fabulous Florets stamp set, Sweet Essentials greeting and Beautiful Baroque embossing folder.  Have a closer look. I've done a similar thing as I did with yesterdays card and water coloured the flower with Primrose Petals and Summer starfruits ink.  The stem and leaves are stamped with Old Olive and the little butterfly with Summer Starfruit.  The shape is cut with the Window Framelits and this piece is actually the cutout from yesterday's card which has been mounted on the cardfront with foam do
