The Paper Players Challenge 119

Image
Hi Everyone, Here is another sketch challenge for this week from the Paper Players It looked like a fun and versatile sketch, so I wanted to play along.  Here is my card I've used the Four Seasons Hostess stamp set for my card.  The base is Not Quite Navy which I've stamped with the Illuminate ink and small snowflake from the set.  I've trimed with Real Red Card and Whisper White Card and Silver Glimmer Paper with some retired snowflake dsp.  I've added a row of Basic Jewels to the top of the glimmer and the image has been stamped twice.  Once for the outer, then the inner circle was coloured with markers and stamped and punched out with the 1 inch circle punch and popped up on dimentionals for a layered effect. Thanks for stopping by.  Please feel free to leave me a comment.

JAI # 141 Colour Challenge

Image
Hi Everyone, It's time for a colour challenge at Just Add Ink .  Here are the colours I love this combination of colours and could think of lots of ways to use them.  In the end though, I decided on a pretty vintage card using the Apothecary Art stamp set, Labels Framelits and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder for this recessed window card.  I brayered inside the embossing folder with wisteria wonder ink before I put the panel through the Bigshot.  This adds more depth.  On the stamped image I firstly coloured some of the flowers with white gel pen to show up on the crumb cake and when dry, coloured over the white with Wisteria Wonder marker.  I've added tiny pearls to the centre.  I have 2 greetings on the card, the Happiest Birthday on the outer and Wonderful You on the inside from the Loving Thoughts set. Here's my card and photos of the detail closeup and the inside Thanks for looking.  I hope you enjoy this week's entry to the J

A Countryside Ute

Image
Hi Everyone, I've made this card to suit the current Paper Players challenge to use frames. I've used the stampset Countryside with Woodgrain background stamp and Label framelits to frame the image which has been watercoloured with SU Regals Watercolour crayons.  My base card is Cherry Cobbler, with Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand.  There is a little strip of patterned paper from the Festival of Prints paperstack underneath the banners. Unfortunately I missed the deadline to link the card for the challenge, but I still wanted to make it for my next class featuring Masculine cards for next weekend.

Create with Connie and Mary #223

Hi Everyone, Here is the latest sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary Well...we know how you all just LOVE sketch challenges!  We do too!  We don't do many challenges that are on a diagonal...that tends to be more 'challenging' for many people.  This is similar to another challenge we did. And my card I've used a base card of Basic Black layered with Pink Pirouette which has been embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder.  I've stamped my jar on vellum and posy of flowers in Primrose Petals, one is stamped off, some Dsp mat on black from the Candlelight Christmas Pack. Here is a closeup Hope you have enjoyed looking at my latest entry for Create with Connie and Mary.  I welcome your comments and love to hear from you.

Just Add Ink - JAI 139- Theme Challenge

JUST ADD SOMETHING NEW The latest challenge from Just Add Ink is encouraging us to use something new - ie new Annual Catalogue or New Mini.  Tough choices, I have so much stuff to chose from that it's difficult to narrow it down to one card.  Here is one, with lots of new product on it. I've used the Window Framelits to create this easel card, plus the Perfectly Preserved and Friendship Preserved sets and Cannery Framelits for the Jar and greeting from the Holiday Mini.  I've used the Lacy Brocade embossing folder on the Pool Party card for the background and Papillon Potpourri stamp for the butterfly which I've hand cut.  Cardstock used was Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla and Pool Party, plus vellum for the jar which was coloured from the back with Regal Rose marker to represent something red in the jar, like jam.  I've also used the Raspberry Ripple ribbon and an old favourite die Beautiful Wings. Here is a closer look at the front.  You may have noticed

Hi Everyone, It's Sunday arvo here and I've had a chance to finish my challenge card after a very busy class yesterday. Here is the card I've made I've used the Scallop Square die to make this Easel card and the Bigz Lattice die on the background which I cut 3 times, in the 3 coloured cards.  I've also used the Fancy Fan Embossing folder on the piece of Gumball Green card before it was diecut, then I've stuck the pieces of the green and the starfruit into the background of the Chocolate Chip diecut.  The stamp sets used are Creative Elements and Field Flowers. Here is a closer look It is a different card for me in a colour combination I wouldn't choose for myself.  I guess that's what challenges are all about. I'd love to know what you think of this one, so please feel free to leave me

Christmas Card Swaps

Image
Hi Everyone, These are some cards I've made for a Swap with my adopted team (Stamp with Style) who are mostly Morayfield, Qld based demonstrators.  I'm actually the adopted one and I was introduced to the team by my demo friend Robyn Noden.  I posted them down yesterday, so they will have been received by now for sorting. I've used Candlelight Christmas Dsp, Window Framelits and Scentsational Season Stamp set (Mug) stamped with Early Espresso ink.  I treated myself to a new style inkpad in this colour to get lovely crisp coverage of my solid stamps. The cardstock used was Primrose Pink and Very Vanilla, with some featured Early Espresso Core'dinations card embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder.  The products are available from our Holiday Mini catalogue. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and cut with the Bity Banners Framelits die from the Annual Catalogue.   If you would like more information, please contact me. Thanks for stopping by.

JAI Challenge #138

Image
Hi Everyone, This week's challenge with Just Add Ink is a colour challenge to use Basic Gray, Whisper White and Summer Starfruit.  Now this combo is a bit of a stretch for me and way outside my comfort zone. So without any further ado, here is this week's challenge colours... Here is my card I've made a triple layer card stamped with Betsy's Blossoms (large flower), French Foliage, Blooming with Kindness for greeting, and a Butterfly from Papillon Potpourri, as no floral card would be complete without one.  The Blossom is glitter embossed with a mix of Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds.  I've also used one of the Ribbon Slides from the Holiday Mini on this card. Please feel free to leave me a comment.  I'd love to know what you all think of this card. Bye for now.
