Stamp Ink Paper #172 - Sketch with Beautiful Baubles

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  Here's our sketch.

I've treated the geometric design on the card front as a box that was holding an ornament ready to be pulled out and hung on the tree.  That's my interpretation of the sketch.  You may use whatever you like for the shape.  Here's my card.

I've used the Beautiful Baubles stamp set for my ornament which I've heat embossed with Copper embossing powder and I've added it into an pocket made from Under the Misletoe Dsp.  The cardstock is Garden green and Whisper white.  The Whisper white background was embossed with the Holly embossing folder.  Here's a closer look at the details.

The sentiment, also from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set has been stamped with Real Red ink.

Here's a look at the whole card one last time.

We hope you will join us for this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  We can't wait to see what you create with this week's sketch.  Have…

Stamp Ink Paper #171 - Fall Florals

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

Fall is not something celebrated here in Australia.  In fact we are in Spring and its warming up quite a bit.  Where I live you don't notice the change in seasons very drastically and we don't see those Autumn colours changing like other areas with colder climates.  Thats my explanation for why I struggle with cards for Fall but here's what I came up with.

The cardstock is Merry Merlot, a little Crushed Curry and Copper foil.  The patterned paper is from the Share what you Love specialty pack.  The embossing folder is the new Tin Tile one.

I was having a hard time getting a good photo to show off the detail the most.  Here are a couple of closeups.

I've used a few retired dies combined with current product for the flowers and also a Label for the greeting from the Share what you Love/Make a Difference pack that was part of a large bundle I ordered.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enj…

Stamp Ink Paper #167 - Petals Promenade Birthday

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

I love the Happy Birthday thinlits die from Stampin' Up! and use it often on my cards.  Its actually perfect for this week's challenge.  Here's my card.

The cardstock I've used is Fresh Fig and Basic Gray.  I've used Silver Foil for the greeting and Petals Promenade papers on the background.  A little glitter Washi tape and the Ribbon punch was used for the border .  Here's a closeup of the greeting.

This card was one from my display at my recent card class featuring the Petals Promenade papers.

The ladies really enjoyed this class and the papers we used.  They are gorgeous.

I think the photograph taken outside in natural light shows the card off a little better than these one taken indoors with the flash, but thats life.

We hope you will join in this week's challenge and can't wait to see what you create with your Large Greeting.  Also we have a giveaway for this challenge open to US …

Birthday Easel Card for the Fancy Fold challenge PCC304

Image
Hi everyone,

Today I decided to play along with the Fancy Fold challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Easel cards are my favourite style to make and I based this one on an Eyeshadow palette for a teenage girl.

Here's my card

I've used cardstock of Rose Red, Whisper White, Basic Black and Merry Merlot for the base of my card and many other scraps of card for all the circles to resemble different colours of eyeshadow.  The patterned paper is from the pack called Painted with Love.

Here's the palette that I took inspiration from for my card.

I
I've taken various other photos including closeups to show off the card better so you can see how it sits.

Can't wait to see all the other entries at the Paper Craft Crew.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and leaving me a comment.  I love hearing from you.

Have a great day.
