Stamp Ink Paper #147 - Blooming Basket Happy Mother's Day

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

Here's my card using the Blooming Basket bundle that was available through Sale-a-bration this year.

I decided I would use up some of the retiring colours of Stampin' Up! cardstock while making this card.  The base is Perfect Plum and the background layer which was embossed is Chocolate Chip.  I've also used Shimmer White card for the stamped images which I've coloured with Inks & Blender Pens.

The Happy Mother's Day greeting is from an old retired set however you could use anything you liked for a greeting on this card.  Flowers are very versatile for any occasion.

Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper.  We can't wait to see what you make for our Colour It challenge.  Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #146 - Coffee Birthday Card

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's Stamp Ink Paper "Food & Drink" challenge.

Here's my card Featuring the Coffee Cups framelits, Happy Birthday thinlits and Foil Frenzy Specialty papers.  The cardstock used is Basic Black &Crumb Cake.

My card base is cut slightly shorter than normal so that my Cup topper sitting over the top edge will still fit into a standard envelope.

A little bit of Linen Thread completes the cup and I've kept this card quite CAS.  I hope you like this card. Please let me know as I love hearing from you.  For more inspiration for this "Food & Drink" challenge head over to Stamp Ink Paper to see what our other designers have created for you and please play along.  We look forward to seeing what you create.

Have a great day.

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's "Ombre" challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  We hope you will join in for this one.

I've chosen to go with a simple card design using one of my favourite dies, Detailed Dragonfly thinlits.  My cardstock is Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Shimmer White, Rich Razzleberry and Silver foil.

I've used sponges to ink the Shimmer card and create my ombre effect.  Below is a closeup of the dragonfly.

Thanks for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper.  I can't wait to see your creation.  Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #144 - Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this weeks challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  We have a Birthday theme and this should be popular.  Its always handy to have Birthday cards ready in advance.

Here's my card using the Cake Soiree bundle and the Sweet Soiree specialty dsp.

The cardstock I've used is Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  Here's a closer look.

That patterned paper is so pretty.  I love it.  I've kept this one quite CAS as the patterned paper is quite busy enough.

Looking forward to seeing your creations for this week's Happy Birthday challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  You could also have the opportunity to guest design for us just for playing along.  We can't wait to see what you make.

Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #143 - Basket of Flowers for Mother's Day

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

Here's my card, very simply made featuring flowers from the Sweet Soiree embellishment kit.  I didn't have a basket so I improvised with our Coffee Cafe stamp set using the base of a stamped coffee cup.  These have been added to a Stitched Shape square which was placed on my background which was embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.

The cardstock I've used is Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White.

I've used Early Espresso ink for both the Coffee cup base and the Mother's Day greeting.

Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper.  Looking forward to seeing your creation in our gallery.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Karree

Image
Hi Everyone,

My eldest daughter Karree turned 19 last week.   I had to make her a special card seeing she loved the Eyeshadow Palette card I made her sister.  She's also a makeup loving girl.

Here's what I came up with.

This Eyeshadow Palette card is based on the new Jeffrey Star Blood Sugar Palette which we have on order for her from the US.  I know she's very excited to receive it and she loved this card and took a snapchat video of it to show her friends.

I made it in a Wallet Style Tri fold card with  Real Red cardstock as the base, lined with Calypso Coral on the inside and Silver Foil for the Happy birthday diecut and internal mirror and a variety of other cardstock in different colours and textures including painting some with Wink of Stella to give a shimmer effect.  I also punched Stars out in the same colour to stick on each eyeshadow pan to mimic the real life palette.

Here's a closeup of the pans

This is the real life palette which I used for inspiration.

Stamp Ink Paper #141 - Petal Palette Best Wishes

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's Stamp Ink Paper challenge.  Its Sketch time and here is our sketch below.

As you can see I've used the Petal Palette stamp set and coloured the flowers with the Stampin' Blends pens.  The cardstock I've used is Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The paper used on the background is from the Petal Passion paper pack and I've used Washi tape to create a border down the left side of the card.  I little butterfly finishes it off.

Thank you for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper.  We can't wait to see what you create with this week's sketch and you could be joining us as a Guest designer just for playing along.  Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #140 - Four Legged Friends challenge with This Little Piggy

Image
Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week's Stamp Ink Paper challenge.  Our theme is Four Legged Friends

Here's my card that I've created with This Little Piggy stamp set.  The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the patterned paper on top is from the Wood Textures designer paper stack.  I've coloured my image with Stampin' Blends.

I needed another birthday card for a boy and for this challenge I don't actually own a stamp set with a Dog or cat which would have been the obvious choices.  Hence the pig as after all, we live in the Country.

Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper.  Hope you will play along with us and we look forward to seeing your creation in the gallery.

Stamp Ink Paper #139 - Soft Sayings Birthday Cards

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our challenge for this week at Stamp Ink Paper which is a product based Ribbon challenge.

I needed a couple of quite masculine cards so I've pulled out my Soft Sayings Card kit to see what I could find and created these cards, stepped up a little from the basis of what is provided in the kit.  I added some Tranquil Tide cardstock for the base and added my own twist - Lemon Lime Twist ribbon, lol.

Everything else including the embellishments and washi tape is actually provided in the kit.  Even some envelopes for the cards, so these were super quick to make.  Here's a closer look at the one of the cards.

I love how the finish card turned out and I feel like Tranquil Tide makes a great masculine colour.  I've used that ink for the Greeting as well.

Thanks very much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper and don't forget, just by playing along you could be our next guest designer.  We look forward to seeing your creations.

Have a great day,

Stamp Ink Paper #138 - Cardmaker's choice Happy Birthday Anna

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  I'm so happy that this week is our Cardmaker's Choice challenge so that I can share with you the Birthday card I made for my daughter who turned 17 on Sunday.

She is a makeup loving girl with an addiction for Eyeshadow Palettes so that was my inspiration for creating her birthday card this year.

Here it is, and she loved it.  So did her sister who I showed a preview to and she said it was the coolest card I've ever made.  How's that for a compliment from another Makeup loving girl.  It made my day.

I'm happy to say all the products used to create this card whether they are current products or retired, were all from my Stampin' Up! supplies including the Circle punch and dies.  Here's a closer look at the Eyeshadow pans.  Some used Foil, some Glimmer paper and Wink of Stella over the coloured card.  The base of the card is Basic Black Cardstock and the pans are sitting on Sahara Sand and…

Stamp Ink Paper #137 - Tic Tac Toe challenge

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's Tic Tac Toe challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

I've chosen to do the Diagonal line "Sequins, Flowers, Embossing".  What will you choose.

I've used a combination of Sweet Soiree dsp, Cake Soiree bundle and Petal Pair textured embossing folder for my card.  The cardstock is Berry Burst and Whisper White.

Here's a closer look at the tag I created for the greeting and the sequins.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you can become a Guest Designer for Stamp Ink Paper just by playing along with our challenges.

Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper for our Tic Tac Toe challenge.

Stamp Ink Paper #136 - Cabin Fever

Image
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our themed challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper.

Here's my card using Seasonal Layer framelits.  I wanted to make something the exact opposite of Winter.  While we don't have snow where I live in Australia and its Summer here, I can certainly sympathise with my Northern Hemisphere friends.

The cardstock I've used is Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Sweet Sugarplum, Bermuda Bay and paper from the Serene Scenery stack.

Here's a closer look.  I tore the bottom of the Beach paper and did a little sponging of the edge to make it look a little more like the sand on the beach at the water's edge.

We also have some exciting news to share this week.  Sarah Fleming is our Guest designer this month and you too can become a Guest Designer for the Stamp Ink Paper team just by playing along with our challenges.

Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper and have a great day.
