Going Going, Almost Gone

Image
Hey everyone, It's Friday and it's also a pretty exciting day.  Last day to order from the Retirement list and only one more sleep till our new Catalogue goes live. I wanted to share the cards from my last class here using retiring sets, as it's probably the last time I'll use them, and I will be selling them off at my Launch. I used Vintage Vogue and Friends Never Fade stamps in my class some Domestic Goddess Dsp and some retiring In colours.  These are what we made: This first card uses a Base Card of Concord Crush and trims card and Ribbon in Pear Pizzazz with the Vintage Vogue set.  I also used the tiny vintage tag (pack 12) and the Chantilly Lace. This card also uses the Vintage Vogue Stamp set in a fresh look, rather than vintage on a Card featuring Domestic Goddess Dsp and colours of Pool Party and Calypso Coral. And this next card also features same colour combination with the Friends Never Fade stamp set I hope you've enjoyed havi...

Sneak Peeks - More new stuff

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I have some more cards to show you using items from my pre-order, in readiness for our new Annual Catalogue going live on September 1st.  I've used the Triple Time stamping technique on these cards and I've been playing around with the measurements, to see what I prefer. First is a card I've made using a new set called Betsy's Blossoms This card also features new In Colours - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Pink, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.  There is also a little of the new stitched ribbon, which I've gathered up. This second card features a set called Scentsational Season, it's a Cute Christmas card. This card also features one of the new wood buttons from the Designer Naturals pack. Thanks for looking, have a happy Thursday,

Patio Party Swaps

Image
Hi everyone on this Tuesday arvo, As September draws near, with Launch of new catalogue products I've been busy making samples for display and also some swaps which I have here to show you. On these cards I've used 2 new stamp sets - Make a Cake and Itty Bitty Banners.  I've used the Patio Party Designer series paper (cupcakes) on the triangular panel of the card and I've also used a new In Colour called Primrose Petals on the large Scallop Circle punch, underneath the cake.  The base for my cards is Night of Navy and the cake has been coloured with blender pen and markers.  The greeting has been cut out from matching framelits that go with the Itty Bitty banners set. Thanks for looking.

More Lovely as a Tree cards

Image
Hello Everyone, I just love the different effects that can be achieved with different colours on the acetate and crystal effects that I've been playing with the last week.  Here are a couple more cards with the Lovely as a Tree Stamp set.  Two completely different looks here with the same Stamps and technique.  I love that you can vary it so much.  As always, if you have any questions, please ask.

Sharing another few cards and Stamps

Image
I've been busy making up cards from my recent play day with my friend Marian, who happens to own the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  She brought it along, and I was making the most of it.  Here are the cards I made up from the Window Sheet Tissue Technique using her stamp set. The top card uses re-inkers of Rose Red and Pool Party and on the Christmas card I've used Old Olive and Pool Party.  You will also notice a bit of a sneak peak it the top card and the next one - a new Framelit die used for the Window, and on the panel below. On this card I had stamped on the Acetate with the Elements of Style stamp set, but it really wasn't obvious with the darker pooling of the colours on the card - re-inkers Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist and Pool Party. So when this sheet dried I cut the Butterflies out with my Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die to mount on this card. Notice the framelits dies on this card too. Thanks for looking, and please feel free to leave a comment. ...

New Technique with Retiring Stamps

Image
Hi Everyone, I've been playing with a new technique (for me) the last few days and even had a friend join me for a play day.  I pulled out a couple of the retiring stamp sets and inked them up again, before they're gone. I've used the stamp set Upsy Daisy for this card.  The image in the window is called the Window Sheet or Acetate Tissue technique and involves stamping with Stazon Ink your image on the front and using crystal effects with reinkers on the back, then covering with tissue paper on the back and allowing to dry.  The drying time takes much longer than the actual creating of the work of art.  Every image will be different and it's fun to experiment with different colours. Here is another one using Nature's Nest set. The colours didn't photograph so well in this one, but the base card is Island Indigo, next layer is Pool Party and the window layer with the framelit cut out is Whisper white, embossed with the Elegant Lines embossing folder....

A Lovely Surprise

Image
Hello Everyone, I've been having one of those birthdays that just keeps going.  A couple of weeks later, I've received a wonderful parcel in the mail from Debbie in Alice Springs, that's all the way from Central Australia to here on the East Coast.  Here are some pictures of what I received. Isn't this fantastic.  This has been handmade by Debbie.  She is another Stampin Up Demonstrator, like myself, and one very talented lady.  You can view her  blog here:-  http://debbieblake.blogspot.com.au/ But that's not all - what else was in the box, as if there should be more? Yes, chocolates and a card, everything a girl could want.  I'm so spoilt, thank you Deb.  I love it all.

My girls were also given instructions on what to do with this cup for me.  Thanks for looking.

Going, Going Gone - Retiring Products

Image
Hi Bloggies, Wanted to share a couple more cards made with the retiring products The first card was CASE'd from a swap from my friend Vicki.  You can view her blog at http://cardsonthetablewithvicki.blogspot.com.au/ I've used the retiring In Colours from 2010-2012 on this card, but I think the cutest thing about it is the inside little Pop Up.  The embossing folder on this card is retiring, as well as the flower.  It's from a Hostess set called Posy Punch. Isn't that cute? Finally, I was in a Calypso Coral mood, and although that colour is not retiring, the versamarker for the shadow effect is plus this stamp set - a favourite - Fifth Avenue Floral I'll be updating a list for what is already soldout on my Facebook page, Thanks,

Fifth Avenue Floral - 2

I really love this set.  Here are a few more cards showing the set This sample has been bleached, the rose stamped and embossed with white embossing powder onto melon mambo cards.  The background uses the sillouette technique, tracing around the white images with a versamarker pen. These next two cards both feature the image watercoloured on watercolour paper.  The pink and white card was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest. And finally, this is another Easel card I made a little while back for Un-Convention 2012 also featuring the retiring In Colours - Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz Thanks for looking.

Fifth Avenue Floral

As you know the Stampin Up Retirement List was released as of 1st August.  One of my favourite sets will be disappearing at the end of this month, so I've dusted it off to make a few cards with it before it goes. This card not only used the retiring set Fifth Avenue Floral, but also French Foliage for the leaves and Kindness Matters for the butterflies.  I've also used a retiring Lace Ribbon Border Punch and Poppy Parade Cardstock and Dsp from the In Colours paper stack which are retiring too. I will be sharing some more in the coming days.
