Playing with Dressups

Hi Everyone,

Did you ever play with Paper Dolls as a child?  I did and so did my girls.  Stampin Up have released some fun dies that you can create outfits with for just that look of our old Paper Doll Dressups.  I've had some fun trying them out and had to create this Dressing Room effect on this card here.

I've used cardstock of Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray with some spotty paper out of the SAB pack and some silver paper for the mirror.

This is the card laid out flat.

Here is a closer look of the Mannequin in front of the mirror.  I've used the Apothecary Accent Framelits to create the Mirror Frame and the Oval framelits for the Mirror and of course the Dress Up Framelits to create the dress on the Mannequin.  I've also used Fancy Fan and Lacy Brocade Embossing Folders.

Here is the card folded closed to fit into a standard sized envelope for posting.  I've also used the Woodgrain Background stamp on the front Very Vanilla panels here.  Do they look a bit like doors?  I hope so, because that was my intent, to open up the doors to the inside Dressing Room.  Some people may refer to this style of card as a Double Z Fold.

And here are the doors open with the card standing up once again.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you've enjoyed the visit.  Please come again soon and don't forget to leave a comment. I really appreciate them.  Thanks.

  1. I did! I also had a barbie book that had changeable clothes and this reminds me of it! Gorgeous card Carolyn and I love the fold - the mirror is a fabulous idea too!
