The Paper Players 132

Hi Everyone,

This week it's a colour challenge at The Paper Players.  They were rather a bright combination for me, however, I'm happy with what I've created. 

Well, I wasn't quite finished in time to enter, but here is my card.


It's called a Joy Fold Card.  I've used some Patio Party Dsp with the cardstock colours of the challenge, Midnight Muse, Primrose Pink and Summer Starfruit.

I've used the Labels framelit to create a mini card, which opens opposite to the main card and I decorated the front of it with a layered butterfly using Beautiful Butterflies die and Beautiful Wings embosslits finished with a Designer Build a Brad.


The oval with the Pretty Petites "For You" is what holds the card closed, the label framelit just slips under it.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing my card, even though I'm not eligible to enter the challenge.

    Not sure about these colours myself but you make them look good. Vx I like the builder brad in the centre of the butterfly.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
