Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew     I've used new products on this card.  It's a sneak peek to what is available from next month.  The cardstock used is Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.  The patterned paper, stickers, stamps and Tassell embellishments are all from the Eastern Elegance bundle. Here's a closer look.  The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny sentiment.  I've added some Gold Metallic enamel shapes and Gold ribbon to add those finishing touches and complete this card. Thanks for joining us this week at the Paper Craft Crew  .  Can't wait to see what you create with our sketch this week.  Have a great day.

Stamp, Ink, Paper #96 CAS Wedding - For the Newlyweds

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper .  It's time for a Wedding card this week and we would like to see your Clean and Simple style here.  It makes for an elegant card.  I hope you agree and join us. I've used some Tip Top Taupe on my card along with new Eastern Gold stickers which is a bit of a sneak peek to a new product coming in the next Stampin' Up catalogue, and some Shimmer card from my stash which I'ved used with the Bloomin' Hearts Framelits. For the greeting panel I've used the Bloomin' Love coordinating stamp set teamed with "For the Newlyweds" stamp from Teeny Tiny Sentiments for my wedding card.  It was finished off with some Basic pearls which I added on the raised Die cut. Here's a closeup of the greeting. Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper .  We can't wait to see your Wedding creations this week.  Have a great day.

Suzanne's Birthday Card

Image
Hi Everyone, This is a card I've held off on posting online so as not to spoil the surprise for the gorgeous recipient. I've made this card for a lady who also happens to be a dear friend and fellow demonstrator like myself.  That means that she also creates cards so she does appreciate handmade cards, even if it will be a little late for her birthday by the time it gets there thanks to the Easter long weekend. Happy Birthday Suzie I have been inspired to use the Falling in Love dsp seeing as it is retiring soon.   It's so pretty and seemed to go lovely with the Botanical framelits, the lace and Butterflies embossing folder.  It was a combination I used recently at my last class. The cardstock is Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and a little tiny bit of Blushing Bride Glimmer.  Just because I could, I also added a tiny butterfly to this card using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and small Butterfly punch.  These are items that are also r...

Hi Everyone, Welcome to this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  We have a sketch for you today to play along with.    I am taking this opportunity to use up some more of my stash of Retiring dsp from the current Annual catalogue.  Today I've used the Blooms and Bliss pack.  I've also used up some of my Mint Macaron stash which is a retiring In Colour.  I've embossed the Mint background with the Lovely Lace embossing folder. The cardstock I've used is Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron and Whisper White.  Dies used are Stitched Shapes and Flourish Thinlits.  Here's a closer look at those die cuts. We hope you will join us with this challenge.  Its a great sketch and there's lots more inspiration from the Design Team for you at the Paper Craft Crew . Have a great day.

Stamp, Ink, Paper #95 - Fruit Stand Cards

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge for this week.  Its sketch challenge time and we can't wait to see what you create with this one. I've been on a bit of a mission to use up some Designer Series Paper that's soon to be discontinued.  This pack I've used on my cards is called Fruit Stand.  I put in a big effort on Saturday and made 11 cards and 12 in today for the Easter break.  It was great to have some uninterrupted time to play.  Here's some of my cards that I've based on this week's sketch. All very similar, but I've mixed and matched patterned and some some different greetings so they aren't identical.  We hope you will join us for this one, as its a fun and easy sketch.  Here's some more of my cards. I've used a number of cardstocks including Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake.   The featured cards have a Bee in common from t...

Wow Superhero Boy card

Image
Hi Everyone, Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.  I did.  Mine was very productive as I had a chance to craft.  It was awesome. I wanted to share a card with you today made with the Everyday Hero stamp set.  Its one that won't be carrying over into the next Annual catalogue so there's not much time left to order this one. I have to say, I thought this set and this guy was pretty cute and I'll be sorry to see it go, cause I think its fun and anyone young or old who enjoys comic book heroes would enjoy receiving a card like this.  The cardstock is Whisper White, Real Red and Emerald Envy. The Superhero was coloured with Watercolour pencils for the body, however the cape was stamped on Real Red card and cut out.  I've used Glimmer strips from the SAB Glimmer pack down either side of the card. Its back to school here tomorrow, so happy to get back to a normal routine and get away from the chocolate...

Happy Easter everyone

Image
Hi Everyone, Its that time of the year again, Happy Easter! These were the Easter projects from my last class which I used for a gift for my niece. All the ladies at class opted to make this card using a greeting of their choice.  I specifically made the card to match the Egg carton so that similar materials were used for both.  Here's a pic of the card (the egg carton already featured on my block several weeks ago). This one is a closeup and showers the layers in more detail.  The flower was made from punched the brown paper that comes as packaging with our SU orders.  Its a form of recycling. I love the definition that the new Hexagon embossing folder gives too.  Here's a closeup of the greeting. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Easter weekend.

Happy 18th Birthday

Hi Everyone, My daughter is going to another party for one of her friends tonight and this is the card I've made for her.  I would call this style Fresh Vintage.  The patterned paper is from the pack called Falling In Love which I teamed with some of the SAB Glimmer, a little lace and a die cut Butterfly. The cardstock is Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky (inside).  The framelits I've used are Butterfly, Stitched Shapes and Large Numbers.  Here's a closer look at how the butterfly sits on the cardfront, over the glimmer paper.  The vintage look really comes from the patterned paper.  I think this side of the sheet with all the butterflies is so pretty.  I have used one of my older "vintage" aka retired stamp sets called Well Scripted for the beautiful birthday greeting, stamped in Sweet Sugarplum, cut with the Stitched Shapes and inked around the edge with Tip Top Taupe in and raised on dimentionals on the card.  You can see its...

Paper Craft Crew 239 - Dragonflies

Image
Hi Everyone Welcome to our challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew . I've chosen to use Silver Foil with the Dragonfly framelits for my card.  I love this colour combo actually.  The Cardstock is Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver foil.  The black was embossed with an old folder from my stash (prior to me joining SU) and the greeting comes from the Avant Garden SAB stamp set. This is a CAS card.  I find they are usually more striking especially when your eye is drawn to minimal embellishments.  I put some of our Silver thread behind the greeting.  Here's a closeup. We hope you will join us this week at the Paper Craft Crew .  Can't wait to see what you make.  Have a great day.

Stamp, Ink, Paper #94 - Tic Tac Toe Wonderful Mother Card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our Tic Tac Toe challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper  brought to you by LeAnne. My card fits a couple of the Tic Tac Toe rows, but the one I'm saying that I used is the Middle vertical row - Flower, Ribbon, Light Blue. The cardstock I've used is Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and some glimmer for the flower centre.  The patterned paper is from the Falling in Love designer pack and the Soft Sky background has been embossed with the Sparkle embossing folder.  Flowers were cut with the Botanical Builder framelits and the greeting comes from a retired stamp set called Well Scripted, which is still one of my favourite stamp sets. Here is a closer look at the flower which I put over one of the Lace Doilies. Here is the greeting, stamped in Tip Top Taupe and cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my card.  Please check out what our other Design Team ...

A card for Jason

Image
Hello Everyone, Here's a card I made in the last week for my favourite mechanic and Brother in Law.  He helped out my daughter last week when she had car troubles. This card uses the Stamp set Nailed It for this card combined with the Hexagons embossing folder.   The cardstock is Smoky Slate, Real Red, Basic Gray and Whisper White. Although this was a very simple card, its very masculine and perfect for a mechanic such as Jason.  Thanks for looking.  Have a great day.
