Just Add Ink - JAI 139- Theme Challenge

JUST ADD SOMETHING NEW

The latest challenge from Just Add Ink is encouraging us to use something new - ie new Annual Catalogue or New Mini.  Tough choices, I have so much stuff to chose from that it's difficult to narrow it down to one card.  Here is one, with lots of new product on it.

I've used the Window Framelits to create this easel card, plus the Perfectly Preserved and Friendship Preserved sets and Cannery Framelits for the Jar and greeting from the Holiday Mini.  I've used the Lacy Brocade embossing folder on the Pool Party card for the background and Papillon Potpourri stamp for the butterfly which I've hand cut.  Cardstock used was Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla and Pool Party, plus vellum for the jar which was coloured from the back with Regal Rose marker to represent something red in the jar, like jam.  I've also used the Raspberry Ripple ribbon and an old favourite die Beautiful Wings.

Here is a closer look at the front.  You may have noticed in the background there are a few of these cards.  Well, I've killed two birds with one stone, so to speak, as I was in the middle of making these cards as swaps from the Holiday Mini and it was perfect timing to enter this for JAI 139 challenge.

I must have rocks in my head as there were so many elements for this card.  Most people choose something a little quicker for a swap.  I'm not known to take the easy way out.  Here are all the cards lined up.

I think they look fantastic laid out like this, and they have also been delivered for distribution.

What do you think.  Please feel free to leave a comment and thanks for looking.

  1. They're beautiful Carolyn. I love how you did the jars on vellum and the window framelits make a great easel card. Glad you could play along with us at JAI this week.

  3. Like what you have done with that card. Love the jar. Great swap. But as you say a lot of work as well. I might try doing something a little easier for mine. Haven't even started yet! Vx

  4. These look great Carolyn. At least you had a die to cut them all out with instead of having to do it all by hand. Thanks for joining in with us at JAI this week.

    1. Thanks Jo, I did have to hand cut my butterflies though, but I find it relaxing.
