The Paper Players Challenge 136

Image
Hi Everyone, So I had a little time, with most of the prep done now for tomorrow's class, and I do love a challenge.  This challenge was to beat the deadline, lol. Here is my entry this week for the Paper Players colour challenge by Nance. I've used the Swallowtail stamp, the first time I've inked it up actually.  It's stamped with Versamark onto Very Vanilla card and heat embossed with Early Espresso embossing powder. I've then sponged Pool Party all over the card and Lucky Limeade concentrating on the stamped image.  The base of my card is Early Espresso and I've offset my layers to the Top left corner. Here is a closer look at the coloured image. Here are the colours we were given for the challenge this week. Hope you will leave me some comments about my card while you're here.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Secret Garden Sycamore Street Card Collection

Image
Hi Everyone, A little while ago I saw some great cards that combined Secret Garden Collection, Ovals Framelits and Feel Goods stamp set by Inky Moose .  I purchased her tutorial.  Sure saves a lot of work, when somebody has already done some great designs and written instructions on how they did it. Well I changed mine up just slightly to use a few different cardstocks and more sheets of the Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers and matching Ribbons and Buttons. Here are the cards I made using Inky's designs If you would like the supplies for these cards, there is only a limited time left for Sale-a-bration to earn these products for free.  You only have until 22nd March to place your order.  Contact me today to place your order to obtain these Sycamore Street limited edition products. I also want to say thanks to Inky Moose for her great designs and tutorial. Here is my collection of cards. Thanks once again for stopping by.  I'...

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #33

Image
Hello Everyone, Here is this weeks challenge sketch we are working with at the Paper Craft Crew .  The theme this week is St. Patrick's Day.  This is a theme I struggled with, not personally celebrating it, nor having any appropriate stamps for the occasion.  However an idea did come to me, and I wasn't sure if it was going to work out or not, inspired by a couple of different things I'd seen on Pinterest  and the fact that Irish are lucky, aren't they.  I was thinking about the story about the Pot of Gold and little men in green.  If you catch one, they give you gold.   I had to be a little creative this week, coming up with a card using our Ovals Collection Framelits dies and some Punch Art.  Here is my St. Patrick's Day themed card. The rainbow is made with the Ovals Collection Framelits and the Pot of Gold with Circle and Word Window punches.  The gold from the tiny circle from the Bitty punches set using Brushed...

Happy Birthday Karree

Hello Everyone, My eldest daughter turns 14 today and loves all things french at the moment, so here is the card I made her.  It contains Faux Patina panel, as that is what I'm teaching at this weekends class plus stamps from Artistic Etchings, En Francais, French Foliage, Postage Due and greeting is from Perfectly Penned. I've decorated the inside as well.  Come and have a look. I was first inspired by a beautiful card from Narelle Farrugia , for my card front.  It was a card she had made for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.  However as my daughter loves purples, particularly Plum shades, I knew Narelle's neutrals would need to be changed.  I've included one of the Tag embellishments from the Artisan kit and cardstocks Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry and another card from my stash, which is a touch deeper in tone than our Perfect plum.  It is good to be able to go through the stash occasionally though. Here is a closer ...

Just Add Ink #156

Image
Hello Everyone, I'm back to join in with another challenge at Just Add Ink .  This week it's a Colour challenge with this combination I thought about this one for a while and decided on a Window Easel Card using a couple of stamp sets, My new Secret Garden Bundle and Artistic Etchings.  Here is my card. I've used Early Espresso as the base of my card, and included Very Vanilla as my neutral for stamping.  The printed paper is from the Paper Stack Print Poetry, and a Designer Builder Brad is the achor to hold up the Easel.  The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments cut with a Bitty Banner. Here is a closer look at the top panel, below. I've used Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder on the background of my front panel and also layered a Delicate Doily. I thought the combination of colours this week were quite pretty and worked well.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I would love to hear from you, your thoughts on my card.
