Happy Birthday Karree
Hello Everyone,
My eldest daughter turns 14 today and loves all things french at the moment, so here is the card I made her. It contains Faux Patina panel, as that is what I'm teaching at this weekends class plus stamps from Artistic Etchings, En Francais, French Foliage, Postage Due and greeting is from Perfectly Penned.
I've decorated the inside as well. Come and have a look.
I was first inspired by a beautiful card from Narelle Farrugia, for my card front. It was a card she had made for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. However as my daughter loves purples, particularly Plum shades, I knew Narelle's neutrals would need to be changed.
I've included one of the Tag embellishments from the Artisan kit and cardstocks Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry and another card from my stash, which is a touch deeper in tone than our Perfect plum. It is good to be able to go through the stash occasionally though.
Here is a closer look at the top of my Easel Card and the base.
The mottled tones of the Faux Patina technique work well in helping bring the different shades together. I've also added a couple of butterflies from my favourite Butterfly Wings embosslit and the patterned papers used on the base of the card are from the pack called Fan Fair. I couldn't use the preprinted Eiffel tower paper image on the card, because it was the wrong colour LOL. Will save that for one of her friends.
Here is a side on view of the Easel Card.
Thanks so much for stopping by to view my card. Feel free to comment or ask questions, if you would like more information. Cheers until next time................
This is very pretty, Carolyn, and obviously made with a lot of love for your special girl!
