Some Christmas Tags

Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday to you.  We had a storm this afternoon, which was good news as it brought with it a bit of rain to cool us down a little this afternoon.  I don't mind the rain at all, especially when its needed. The Paper Angels have a Charity Christmas Card workshop happening in Cooroy on Saturday which I'm involved with, so I have something a bit different to show you today instead of a card.  I've made some name tags for the co-ordinators of this event, although they would also make excellent gift tags.  What do you think? I've used cardstock of Whisper White and Smoky Slate as well as the Star Framelits to create a cutout and All is Calm Washi Tape.  I also got out my Dymo Labeller to print of the names which I stuck onto some Whisper White card and cut them as banners.  They are raised up on dimentionals across the star. I've also used some Lost Lagoon ribbon on these tags.  We actually have quite a busy week of pr...

Bright & Beautiful in Island Indigo

Image
Hello Everyone, Have you missed me?  I've been away this weekend celebrating my Sister Genie's (shortened from Genevieve) 40th Birthday.  We spent it at Stanthorpe Rocks as the name would suggest, a Rock Concert in Stanthorpe.  We had a great time.  Its set in the grounds of a Vineyard called Ballandean Estate and there was a great lineup of legendary older bands that I loved from my youth and present who are still performing and recording after 30 years or more.  Its fair to say the crowd of approx. 3000 was a little more mature than your average One Direction concert...lol  I'll share a couple of photos after my card. Today's card starts with a base of Island Indigo which I've combined with Whisper White and Brushed Gold cardstock.  I've used the Bright & Beautiful stamp set inked with Island Indigo ink here and used the matching Star framelits and the little star punch.  I've also used border punches to scallop the edges o...

Hello Everyone, It was my Sister's Big 40th Birthday yesterday and I have the card here to show you that I've made for her. She will be receiving this one today as we are joining her at Stanthorpe this weekend for celebrations and Stanthorpe Rocks!  Looking forward to that. Come and have a look at this Easel Card.  I've again used my fav stamp set Bright & Beautiful, for this special occasion card.  I know its a Christmas set but I have used it for a Baby Card before too.  This is the card front. The 40 comes from the stamp set Memorable moments and is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink.  The Star from Bright & Beautiful is stamped with Coastal Cabana ink.   Here is the greeting, the anchor for the card. I've used a vintage stamp set for the Birthday greeting here called Well Scripted which is stamped on a Label from Memorable moments cut with the Label collection framelits.   The side view of the card is below, so you can...

I may have once or twice.  I've really been using it quite a bit for Christmas Cards and today I've combined it with the vintage Christmas set Greetings of the Season.  Come and have a look at my collage of stars on this card. Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #118

Hello Everyone, Its another Wednesday which means its time for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge this week.  Here is the sketch we are working with this week below. Today I'm using Bright & Beautiful Stamp set, which is my fav Christmas set combined with Lucky Stars embossing folder, All is Calm Washi tape and Petite Pairs stamp set for the Merry Christmas greeting. Here's my card.  Cardstock used here is Island Indigo, Smoky Slate and Whisper white, with a little Silver glimmer added for a banner and a tiny punched star.  The star has been stamped with Whisper White Craft ink and clear embossed then cut with Star framelits.  Here is a closer look at that star. I've also used Bitty Banners framelits to cut the greeting and banners.  Thanks very much for stopping by for a look at today's card.  We hope you will join in with our challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew . Have a great day.

Noel Card

Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday to you.  I hope your day is as great as mine was today.  Today I wanted to share the second card I've made for my sister to give to the other Kindy Teacher at the Daycare where my niece attends. The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana, Whisper White & Silver Glimmer which I've also combined with specialty paper from last years Winter Frost pack.  The stamp set used here is Bright and Beautiful, combined with Star framelits.  I've also created a window in this card with a frame using the Window Collection framelits and the word Noel comes from the Wonderful Wreath framelits. The ink used for stamping the star was Coastal Cabana, and that same colour star behind was embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.   This card looks so pretty IRL.  I hope my sister thinks so too. Have a great day.

A Sparkly Joy Card

Hello Everyone, I've been asked to make a couple of special cards that my sister will be giving to the Kindy teachers at the Day care that my niece attends. Here's the first one I've finished which combines Bright & Beautiful stamp set & star framelits with some vintage Winter Frost patterned paper and plenty of Silver glimmer card. The cardstock used is Island Indigo Smoky Slate and Whisper white and I've used Wonderful Wreath framelits for the word Joy which has been cut out twice, both in glimmer and Island Indigo as a shadow. I've also used the Window Framelits under the layered star to create a frame.  The Island Indigo star was stamped in Whisper White ink and clear embossed and frames the white star.  The Smoky Slate star has been embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. I hope my sister likes this one.  Its extremely sparkly.  Hope you have a lovely day.
