A Quick Card

Image
Hi Everyone, How is your Boxing Day going.  Ours is pretty laid back today, just lazing around.  No visitors today apart from Grandma and Grandad popping over to say hello, as we are travelling down to Broadbeach, Gold Coast for the day tomorrow to visit my family who are all on holiday there until the New Year. My husband asked if I was going to be making any more cards, as he thought I should clean off my desk, and I said of course I was.  So here is a quick one I've made with some leftover bits and pieces that have been lying around on it for the past few weeks (well that's tidying it off, isn't it?). I've used only 2 Cardstocks - Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.  The white was embossed with the Oval Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, which is generally used for Christmas as it's so ornate, however I've covered the embossed tree across the bottom with my Happy Birthday Greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners set and used a Double Butterfly, which I h...

JAI148 - Just Add Christmas

Image
Hi Everyone, The challenge at Just Add Ink this time is "Just Add Christmas" I've made this Twisted Easel with the Ornament Keepsakes bundle and a battery operated tealight. See the difference in the first photo with the tealight candle on.  After seeing several other projects on our Stampin Up demo gallery Stampin Connection I had been on the lookout for these little tealights.  They really give the card that Wow factor.  Here is a photo from the back so you can see that it just sits behind the vellum window.  They were a little expensive to buy individually but my dear husband has since sourced them online for me and I'll be set for next years Christmas classes. This was just the project and the challenge I needed to go ahead and use it.  My cardstock is Riding Hood Red, Pool Party and Very Vanilla with some Champagne Glimmer.  I've also used vellum, Festival of Prints Paper Stack, Festive piercing pack and Ornament Keepsake Bundle....

Silver Wedding Anniversary - You Decide!

Image
Hi Everone, I busily made these cards needed for a Silver Wedding Anniversary this weekend and after I made the first one, I decided to make another, then I couldn't decide which would be the more appropriate. Can you help me? Here they are:- I've used Apothecary Art stamp set for this card and the greeting from Well Scripted (retired) set. And on this card I've used Affection Collection with Elements of Style. Now the general concensus so far is the younger generation prefer Affection Collection with a more modern take and the older prefer the elegance of the Apothecary Art card.  The Jury is still out! I may just take them both along and let my Aunt decide which one she wants the relatives to sign to give her brother. Thanks for looking.

Paper Players #126

Image
Hi Everyone, Here is this weeks Paper Players Challenge Now I only have one Snowflake stamp set, Snowflake Soiree which I've used but I also have the Snowflurry die.  I've combined the both on my card, but also combined one of the Doily dies within my Glimmer Snowflake to make it a little more special.  My Cardstock is Perfect Plum, Pool Party and Whisper White with Silver Glimmer paper.  I've left lots of white space on the background for the clean style. I hope you've enjoyed seeing my CAS creation.  Don't forget to leave me a quick comment.  I really appreciate them.
