A Wedding Card using Hearts Framelits

Hello Everyone,

I've been having a bit a play with the Heart Framelits to create a couple of cards.

This first one I've created using is a Heart Shaped card using cardstock of Raspberry Ripple and Very Vanilla.  I've used a combination of stamps including Marry Me set (retired), En Francais & Loving Thoughts.

The background was firstly stamped on the Very Vanilla front heart with En Francais in Sahara Sand.  I then inked the Bridal couple image from Marry Me set with Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing powder.  Lastly, the roses were stamped in Raspberry Ripple ink onto the background.  The New Mr & Mrs was stamped in Raspberry Ripple Ink separately and punched with the Ticket Punch.  I inked around this to give a little definition and raised it on a Pop dot on the card front and added a couple of little pearls to each side.

See how I've folded the Very Vanilla card to cut the smaller Heart Framelit, so that it doesn't cut throught the whole side and a little of the fold remains intact to hold the card together.  This was then adhered to the larger Raspberry Ripple Scallop Heart which was embossed with Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.  Here is a photo of the card when opened showing the inside.  I've stamped with the Loving Thoughts set the words Forever and Always in Raspberry Ripple ink.

Here is a closer look at the front.  The gold embossing on the solid image like this really stands out well, although it was a little hard to pick up in the photo.  I had difficulty photographing the whole card well actually, as the En Francais background is also quite subtle on the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a look.  I will be back again soon with another card made with the Heart Framelits tomorrow.

  2. Thanks Girls, I think this shape would be good for a Mother's Day card too.
