Simply Wonderful Sale-a-bration Card

Hello Everyone,

We had a bit of an incident recently when someone tried to steal our "Bender" robot and only got away with his head.  I'm pleased to report we have had him fixed.  My husband made a new head for him and I have a picture below to share with you after my card pics.

Today I'm having a play with some of the new products available for Free during Sale-a-bration just by placing an order.  I have used the Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper and the Simply Wonderful Greeting stamp set which I've combined today with By the Tide to make a masculine card.  Let me know what you think of this card.

The cardstock used is Not Quite Navy (retired), Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon with a small amount of Whisper White used for one fish.  The Inks used were Midnight Muse (retired), Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.  I also smeared a little Illuminate ink over the fish.  The Deco Label framelits were used to cut out and mat the fish images.  Here's a closeup of the fish.

The Irrisistrably Yours papers are ideal for sponging and this particular sheet reminded me of scales.  I went with masculine colours sponging with Early Espresso and Midnight Muse (retired) on the paper.  Here is the photo of the full card.  The fish and the shell have both been fussy cut.

I'm happy with how this card turned out.  I hope you like it too.  As promised, I have a pic below of our robot "Bender".  He's new and improved and hope that no one tries to steal him again.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  See you tomorrow.

  1. Very cool Carolyn. Really like that new DSP, it allows so many possibilities to create backgrounds. Curious about Bender? Seems like a very friendly robot! Glad he has been given another head.

    1. Hi Louise, yes that dsp is wonderful, endless possibilities. Bender comes from the animated TV series Futurama, made by the makers of The Simpsons.
