Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #13 - A Cactus Pop-Up Birthday Card
Hello Everyone,
Happy Tuesday to you all. Its time for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week and we have a Birthday theme.
I actually make Birthday cards the most and this one is intended for one of my daughter's friends for this weekend. I've used the large stamp from Happy Birthday Everyone Hostess stamp set on the front panel of this card and used cardstock of Raspberry Ripple (retired), Crumb Cake and Whisper White. The patterned paper is from the pack English Garden. My daughter requested a Cactus card for her friend and not having any suitable stamps I went online and found these digi stamps which I've coloured with Blender pens and SU ink.
Everything else used except the Cacti are Stampin' Up supplies. Below is a closeup of the card front but the fun part of this card is actually when you open it up as you will see in the picture below.
I made this as a Pop up card. Aren't these cacti cute. I thought this would be a nice surprise on the inside.
I hope you will play along with this week's Birthday Theme challenge at Stamp Ink Paper and make sure you visit and see what our other designers have to share with you.
Have a great day. :-)

What a fun pop up card, Carolyn! Those cacti are great, and I'm quite impressed how you inked up that sentiment in two colors.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sandy. It was a fun card to make, going to a fun girl.
DeleteSuch an adorable card Carolyn! I love pop up cards and this is about the cutest one I've seen!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Tina, I actually haven't made a pop up card in a long while but I had this idea when my daughter insisted on a Cactus card for her friend.
DeleteHello Carolyn: I love, love Succulents, but have very bad luck keeping them so your beautiful card just jumped at me. I love pop up cards, they are fun to make and more fun to receive, this trio of Succulents look adorable standing up like that.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you so much for leaving me your sweet comment on my SIP card, I love reading it.
Many hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
Thanks so much Maria. You are welcome, and I hope you will play along with the Stamp Ink Paper challenge again.
DeleteOMG! This card rocks! If I ever get stamps of cacti, I will have to case this. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Michael. Trust my daughter to request a card that I didn't have any stamps for. I don't know the significance of the cacti to the world of 14 year old girls, but apparently the Birthday girl loved it!
DeleteI love it! I think I want to case it! It's just too cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Maggie. :)
