Hello from Downunder, It's Wednesday and once again that means it's time for our challenge at The Paper Craft Crew . Here is this weeks sketch for you to play along with. Looks fairly straightforward, right?  That means there is quite a bit of room for scope and you are really only limited by your own imagination. I've decided to use a new stamp set I've just received from the Holiday Catalogue called Santa's List along with the Season of Style paper stack.  Don't you just love when that big brown box arrives with a new order of goodies to play with.  I just can't help myself and have to try out my new stuff straight away.  Also, I have a Christmas Card class this weekend which I'm prepping for and had hoped to have some of these new products to show off.  Lucky me that it arrived in time.  Here is my card for the sketch challenge. Here is another Christmas card I've recently made inspired by the previous challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I really liked the sketch as well as some of the cards posted that were part of the challenge. There is a card that I was particularly inspired by  here by Jen Rolfes of lovelystampin.com to which I added dsp from the Winter Frost Paper stack and a small piece of diagonal stripey from the Specialty pack.  The tree stamp I'ved used today is from the set Christmas Lodge which was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink and my base card is Coastal Cabana.  My finished card looks quite different now that I go back to look at hers again, so it's actually not a di...

Hello Everyone, How are we today? I'm really great, but extremely busy at the moment with my Christmas Card Buffet coming up this weekend.  I was asked if I could make some Wedding Cards.  One of my regular customers who does attend classes has been away on holidays and hasn't the time or the stamps to get these done herself quickly.  I told her I probably already had a few in my stash that I could find for her to choose from and a set about making another quick one, just for a little variety.  I also thought I could enter this one in the Just Add Ink challenge to Just Add Frames.  I love my Deco Label Framelits a lot and love how they can frame an image or in this case my dsp and layered labels. Hello Everyone, I've missed challenges over at Create with Connie and Mary the last few weeks, but I'm pleased to report there is a colour challenge this week, which caught my attention. These are the colours and are so up my alley, right?  I love the pastels.  Normally I'd do flowers or butterflies with these pretty colours, but I'm going to surprise you all. Today I'm using the colours to create Christmas Cards.  Who'd have thought about this combination for Christmas.  Not my norm, but I'm happy with these pretty cards, nice and frosty looking.  We have nothing that closely resembles a Frosty Christmas at all in Australia.  It's quite the opposite, however I do like these cool results. Hi Everyone, It's safe to share this now that I know my friend Justin - JK Cards received this card, just in time for his birthday.  The Happy mail arrived on his day September 12th.  Let's not say how old he is this week.  I won't spill the beans. This is the card that I made him.  It winged it's way across to the US.  One of the best things about cardmaking is that you can personalise your card to suit the recipients taste and the things you know they like.  I think it makes it special, when you know a bit about the person you are making a card for and can add those extra touches. The feature of this card is Coffee.  We both love it, so thought it was fitting.  The greeting is from the stamp set Chalk Talk and the splatter is from the set Gorgeous Grunge.  This is a Joyfold style card made from Island Indigo cardstock.  Come and have a look at the inside. Hello Everyone, I'm back to play with the Fab Friday challenge Here are the colours for this week's challenge.  A shock for me to work with all these, I can tell you, but taking a leaf out of Justin's book, I'm doing a non traditional Christmas card with the Sweather Weather dsp.  It's a bit of a personal challenge to work so far out of my comfort zone with these colours.  I have every confidence that I can do it, just not sure how well I like it.  Also, it's a bit of a necessity, as I have a Christmas Card buffet planned for next weekend and I'd hoped my latest Christmas order would have arrived by today, so that I could start prep this weekend, but it hasn't.  That's why I'm going left field on at least 1 card for the buffet that I have supplies on hand for. Hello Everyone, First of all I'd like to send Birthday wishes to my friend, Justin. (JK Cards)   Happy Birthday, hope you have a fantastic day.   There is a card on the way, but it hasn't quite made it all the way over the ocean yet, so I can't share that until I know it's been received.  Here are some Red Velvet Cupcakes the girls made with me in Justin's honour.  Of course, it's us that gets to eat them, mmm delicious.  We haven't eaten them all yet.
