Paper Craft Crew #27

Image
Hi Everyone, It's time for this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  I hope this weeks sketch and my card inspires you to come and join in the fun. Here is the sketch we are playing with this week. Card Sketch #27 This is what I've made using Fabulous You, Feeling Sentimental and Itty Bitties Stamp sets. My Colour scheme is Raspberry Ripple, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  I've also used First Edition Dsp on my card which has been embossed through the Lacy Brocade folder.   I've inked inside the  folder with Crumb Cake Ink on the inner front (side the logo is printed on), before putting the paper in to run through the Big Shot.  I've also used the same folder on my Basic Black strip across the top of my card.  I've cut my Crumb Cake card with the Top Notes die, trimmed it to the size needed for my panel and then embossed it with the Square Lattice folder.  The shoe is from the Stamp Set Fabulous You.  I've stampe...

Just Add Ink #150

Image
Hello Everyone, I've had a chance for a quick play for the sketch challenge this week at Just Add Ink . Here is the sketch I've decided I wanted to try out the Blackboard Technique and feature new products from the Seasonal Catalogue. Also I have a team member turning 40, so I've combined everything for this Easel card and taken some creative license which is loosely based on the sketch above.  Here is my card. New products used include More Amore Designer Series Paper, Hearts a Flutter Bundle, Designer Builder Brads, Flower Trim and Bottle Top (squashed a little through the Big Shot.  The Stamps used are Vintage Verses, Itty Bitties and Memorable Moments.  I've also used Tulip Border and Lacy Brocade Embossing Folders. Here is a closer look at the banners across the top of the card and also the Bottle Top (I just can't get used to the Soda Pop name).   I'm really happy with my card, just need to work on my photography skills, LOL. Thanks...

Freshly Made Sketches #70

Image
Hello Everyone, Well we haven't been washed or blown away yet, although the elements were trying very hard here in Queensland.  I've managed to make this card to join in with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. When I saw the sketch, I didn't want to change a thing.  I really wanted to use a Butterfly on my card and I've chosen the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.  I've also stamped with Everything Eleanor on the Crumb Cake base with Razzleberry Ink and on the Butterflies with Whisper White Ink and then embossed the butterflies with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.  The paper is from the Sycamore Street Sale-a-bration pack.  I've added some pearls to the swirls and a Flower Trim brushed with ink to the Butterfly centre.  The greeting is from the set Curly Cute. Here is a closer look at the pearl detail:- Here is the sketch below:- Thanks so much for stopping by to view my card.  I hope you'll leave me some comments.

A wet and soggy Australia Day

Image
Hello from a very wet and soggy South East Queenslander, Happy Australia Day to you all.  I hope wherever you are you are safe.  This is not at all our usual Australia Day celebration weather, fine and sunny for the most part.  We've had severe weather warnings coming right down the Queensland Coastline for the last few days since ex tropical Cyclone Oswald struck and its made quite an impact.  We've had rain for a couple of days now. You have to take the good with the bad I say.  It's the first decent rain we've had in 7 months and our tanks are full to overflowing which is great news.  The extreme heat has dropped to a more comfortable level and we could actually have a long soak in a deep bath last night.  That in itself is quite a novalty when you normally have to have a 2 minute shower to conserve water.  On the whole, we are pretty lucky where we live, as our home won't be affected by flooding. Also it was my Mum's birthday today and w...

Hello Everyone, Here is this week's sketch for the Paper Craft Crew and if you like, an added colour challenge which is optional.  Challenge colours are Regal Rose, Bashful Blue and Daffodil Delight if you would like to play along. I've also used the Flower Trim and the Paper Doily from the catalogue and the stamps Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Word Play from the greetings.  Here is a better look at the flowers and framelit cut hearts.  The cardstock used is Pool Party and Very Vanilla with some Core'dination card in Primrose Petals.  The embossing folders used are Lacy Brocade and Adorning Accents. Thanks so much for stopping by ...

Lara's 3rd Birthday

Image
Hi Everyone, We've had a very busy weekend, with my first class of the year on Saturday and my niece Lara's 3rd Birthday today.  She lives in Brisbane so we've spent over 3 hours travelling back and forth. Being a 3 year old and a little girl, she loves her fairytales and is also going through a Princess phase.  She's actually had 2 Birthday parties this year, a Princess Party for all her little friends to dress up and the family party which was today. In keeping with the theme, I made her a card fit for a little Princess and my girls also made her some cakes for the party. Although the stamped images are not SU, and I've also used some non SU papers from my stash, you may notice some very definate added SU touches. I've made the sun in the corner with 2 punches - the circle and the small tab on the ticket punch for the rays and I've used the Memorable moments set and Label Framelits on the base of my easel card.  I've used the Silver Gli...

The Paper Players #128

Hi Everyone, This week it's a colour challenge at the Paper Players Digging through my stash of products to find the correct colours I found I had some retired Dsp to fit the bill, namely Flirtatious and Beyond the Garden dsps.  Here is my card I've combined a little old and new for my card.  I've used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Build a Brads, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Paper Doily and Oh Hello Stamp set (greeting) on my card all from the Seasonal Catalogue with Elegant Butterfly punch and the retired papers.  The cardstock is Basic Gray, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight per the colour challenge.  I also stamped my greeting with Pacific Point ink, directly onto the dsp which made it look a little greener. Thanks so much for stopping by to view my card.  Please leave me a little blog love as I enjoy reading your comments.
