Happy Birthday to You

Hello Everyone,

How are you today?  The weather here has been fine and cooler.  A gorgeous day with lovely clear blue sky until later this afternoon when it clouded up.  Rain is expected but I haven't seen any signs yet except for those few clouds blowing in with the cooler breeze.

Today's card features the Another Great Year, which has this big Happy Birthday to you stamp in it.  I've embossed with gold powder and heat set it and used a watercolouring technique on the background.  I love the effect on the whisper white card, all finished with an Elegant Butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp set.  Let me show you the butterfly first.



I've stamped it with Stazon black ink onto Brush Gold card and layered it onto a second basic black punched butterfly for a shadow effect.

Here is the finished card.


The cardstock is Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe and Whisper White and the inks used were Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
