Can You Case It #52 Colour Challenge - Butterfly Window Easel

Hello Everyone,

I'm back with another challenge for you from the Can you Case it Team.  This week we have a colour challenge for you with the combination of colours being Whisper White, Gold and Pool Party.  It has certainly made for some very pretty creations from the Design Team and I can't wait for you to see them all.

For my card today I've combined one of my favourite things with a favourite style of card that I like to make.  Those that know me will know immediately that my favourite thing to add to cards is Butterflies.  They pop up frequently in all forms, stamped, punched or like these ones cut from dies which I've layered up here.

These butterflies have been cut out with the Butterfly Thinlit dies, the two largest ones from Gold Glimmer and Pool Party.   Note:  I did not press out any of the inner parts of the die on the Glimmer base butterfly and I only pressed out a selection from the edges of the Pool Party Butterfly.  I finished the layers with the smaller butterfly cut from Gold Foil for the top.  The side on view below gives you a good look at those layers.

For the gold I've used both the Gold Foil sheet and the Glimmer gold, combined with Whisper White and Pool Party Card.  I've also used gold embossing powder for the greeting which comes from a stamp set called Butterfly Basics.

Designing a card with a colour challenge allows me to make any style of card I want, and on this occasion I chose to make an Easel Card with the Window Collection framelits.  I love easels in all different shapes and in the past I would say I have made just about every shape that we have dies for.  Shaped cards are cool and this Window shape is a particular favourite.

The greeting has been punched with the Decorative Label punch and forms the anchor for the Easel to stand against.

Please make sure you check our what our other Designers have made to inspire you this week and come and join in our challenge at Can You Case It.

Until next time, have a great day.
