CCMC #226 - Create with Connie and Mary

Hi Everyone,

This weeks challenge at Create with Connie and Mary is a colour challenge below

2012 Create Thursday-006
I thought I would incorporate the colours with some gift making using the Mini Calendar tabs and Post It Notepads for some Easels.  These always sell well at the Christmas Fairs and also make great Teacher Appreciation gifts or inexpensive pressies for friends.

Here's my Calendar Easel using French Foliage Stamp Set, Top Notes die and papers from Comfort Cafe and Spice Cake (retired) Designer Series papers.
Some of the leaves and stamps are stamped straight onto the Top Note while others have been hand cut and added.

Please feel free to comment and thanks for stopping by for a look.

After I had posted this on SC I had a few requests for details on how to make, so just adding another photo to this post to view some more I've made, with the side on views.

  1. Yes that is a great project. I did something similar a while back making the calendar with My Digital Studio - but it is all 12 months on one panel. It's funny - I didn't even think about that designer paper having this weeks colors until I saw everyone making their projects with it. Thanks for joining our color challenge this week at Create with Connie & Mary!

  2. This is a great idea!! Love the note pad with the calendar! I know I always need something like this! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!

  3. What a fun 3D you created! This will be such a cool gift to give to someone! Thanks so much for playing along in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

  4. Great project! Would be wonderful to have out on my desk all year around! Thanks for playing along with the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!

  5. I love this one. The blue behind the top note really pops it out. Love the leaves peaking out behind the calendar. Vx
