Just Add Ink #169 - Inspiration Challenge
Hello Everyone,
Is it cold enough for you in your neck of the woods? Definitely feels wintery here.
There is a fantastic picture for an inspirational challenge at Just Add Ink this week provided for us by Delys. I loved the silouettes and the colours. Here it is.
I've decided to pull out some Glossy Card to use while I still have a little stock left and do a background with the Baby Wipe Technique, where you basically add drops of reinkers onto a folded up wipe and swipe it across the glossy card and leave it to dry before stamping on it.
This is the result.
I've used Just Believe Stamp set stamped with Black Stazon ink over the coloured glossy card background and created a simple black based Easel Card. On the base of the card I've used the Embossing folder from the Mosaic Bundle (available in July) on a strip of Whisper White card and added some punched Mosaics with the matching punch out of scrap glossy card and a Designer Builder a Brad, which also contains some of the glossy card. I love how vibrant the colours looks using this technique. My reinkers used were Orchid Opulence (retired), Wisteria Wonder, Marina mist and Rich Razzleberry. Turned out a little more purple that the pinks in the inspiration picture above.
I also used the inked up Baby Wipe as an ink pad to stamp my little butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set for a multicoloured effect.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I may be back with another entry for this challenge shortly, as I just couldn't stop at one piece of glossy card while I had ink on my baby wipe.
Have a great day.
