Just a Quick Post


Hi Everyone,

This will be a quick post here as I'm supposed to be packing my gear for class tomorrow, but I wanted to show you a card I've been working on based on a card I saw by Justin Krieger aka JK Cards and I've CASE'd him with my version, and my own Twist on his Hexagon.  Because I'm no good at geometry  mine has 8 sides.  Anyway, you are welcome to have a laugh at my attempt at a Hex!


I'll see if I can find his original and add a link in later so you can have a look, as his was for a Mojo sketch.  The stamp set here is a Sale-a-bration set (Bird and Flowers) called Bloomin' Marvelous and the greeting is from Vintage Verses.  The base card is Basic Gray with a layer of Pool Party Core'dinatios card embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and I've added Pool party twine and one of the new silver buttons from the Seasonal Catalogue.  Found it - JK Cards Mojo 276

    Just got me some silver buttons. I like the way you have placed a flower behind this one. Lovely touch. And the hummingbird is outside the Octagon? It looks really good. Vx

      Thank you Vicki. If SU brought out some more framelits for either a Hexagon or Octagon would be great, a big help. My little brain just couldn't figure out the Hex.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
