Create with Connie and Mary #247
Hello Everyone,
It's a sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary this week that I'm joining in with
And here is the sketch
I've been asked to make a 21st Birthday card for a young lady who loves purple on commission. Yes, apparently I'm not the only one (lover of purple). I've also shown my daughter to seek approval, and she likes it too. I've used Swallowtail stamp which I've recently discovered stamps brilliantly with Illuminate Ink on dark colours. My Card is Elegant Eggplant and I've combined it with Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder and a little silver glimmer.
I've embossed the White panel with Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and I've used stamps from the Memorable Moments and Four Frames sets for the greeting and age.
I've also adorned the card with additional butterflies from Beautiful Wings Embosslits die.
Here is another photo of the card, just trying to get that perfect shot. It's difficult to show both the embossing and the Illuminate Ink in the photos and I apologise for my poor photography skills.
I first decided to use the Swallowtail stamp in this manner after viewing a card made by Mary Brown, so thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I really appreciate your comments.
