Using up some Scraps

Hi Everyone,

Tonights card is just to show you what I did with a few scraps that were laying around.  I find I often cut things out of a piece of card, like framelits and can't bear to throw out the remains, thinking I can punch something out of those leftover bits.  That's exactly what I did tonight.  I had a piece of leftover Bashful Blue and a strip of Lucky Limeade that I'd already cut other things from with the Bigshot and I decided to pull out my Bird Builder punch to create a little bird.  I haven't used the punch for a while, but will be this weekend for class, so I had it handy.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and I've cut a Floral Framelit from Always Artichoke, a colour I don't use often.  I thought it would make a good background for my bird.  The paper is Tea for Two and I cut this strip out directly from the pattern for an interesting border and added a button thread with some Linen thread and tied off.  The Bird's wing is also cut from the paper, it's the pattern on the reverse of this sheet.

Thanks for stopping by.
