Freshly Made Sketches #83

Hello Everyone,

There is a great sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches
I love the simplicity of this sketch.  Here is the card I've made using a combination of SU products and a 3D flower that has been sitting in my stash assembled I would estimate for about 2 years, as I remember the class I taught with those, when I used to work in a few Scrapbooking stores some years back.

It is such a realistic looking flower, like a photograph and I like it, even though I'm not a Yellow Person.  I'm making an effort to go back through my stash of older products and start using them up.  The Dsp here is from a pack called Beyond the Garden.  I've used cardstock of Basic Gray, So Saffron and Basic Black, and a little Lace Tape.  The Greeting is stamped with Basic Gray ink from the set Blooming with Kindness.  The So Saffron card was embossed with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.

This wasn't the card I originally planned to make, thought I would try something masculine, however a girl's allowed to change her mind, isn't she?

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment.  I love to hear from you.

  1. How pretty! I wish I could see that flower in person -- it looks amazing. And I love it with that dsp. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  2. What a great colour combo. Love the grey and yellow tones together. Thanks.

  3. Goodness Carolyn, I thought that was a plastic 3d flower! Even when I clicked on it to enlarge it. It looks terrific. I don't mind a bit of yellow every now and again. Lovely card. Vx.

  4. This is truly lovely! That flower, the dsp...fantastic! Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
