Just Add Ink #185 -

Hi Everyone,

I'm really in a rush at the moment, heaps to do.  My Husband is flying in at 5.25am tomorrow morning (Wednesday), and here I am finishing a card (instead of cleaning)  LOL!  I've actually been playing around lately with some window cutouts in my designs and will have a few more to share this week.

Today I wanted to play in the Colour challenge at Just Add Ink this week.  Here they are, actually they are some of my favourite colours combined here.

I've made an Easel card.  That is no surprise as I often make them.  However this one isn't any ordinary Easel card.  I think this one may just be about the most unique and fun Easel I have ever made.  It's a Suspended Butterfly Easel card.  Have a look here and tell me what you think.

Of course the feature is definitely the Papillon Potpourri butterflies I've used.  Some are doubled together with fine elastic running down the middle of them (or you could use a nylon thread for a bit more invisability).  These little butterflies actually spin and turn with every move of this card hanging down in the Window cutout made with the Deco Label Framelits.  They are definately my favourite framelits at the moment.

I've also used the Secret garden bundle, Artisan Label for the greeting and Fancy Fan embossing folder.

Here is a side on view to give you a better idea of how this is assembled.

And from the other side

Have a closer look at my butterflies.

And finally the base of the card here

.

I think anyone would be delighted to receive this card.  My daughters have both been suitably impressed, and they are usually very critical.  Super hard to get their nod of approval.

I am quite pleased with myself here.  Hope you like it too.

Have a great day.
