"A Clean Slate" Paper Players 177 challenge & Sneak Peek

Hello Everyone,

We're receiving some welcome rain here at the moment from those storms that came through this evening.  It's a relief from the heat and cooling the place off after the heatwave conditions here from the weekend.

This Monday and I've decided to join in with the Paper Players challenge this week with Nance hosting. This is their first challenge for the New Year featuring Chalkboard Technique for Nance's challenge.

I've decided to use some new Sale-a-bration papers from Sweet Sorbet pack on my card to contrast with the Chalkboard technique using stamps from Happy Day set.  I've also used the Papillon Potpourri butterfly set, Beautiful Wings dies and Fancy Fan embossing folder on my card with Cardstock of Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White and Basic Black.

Here is a closer look at the Chalkboard image of my card.

And I got to finally use my new Chalkboard marker drawing around a punched 2 1/2" circle on the Black Starburst.

Thanks very much for making some comments on today's card.  I really enjoy receiving your feedback.  Have a great day.

  1. So pretty! I love the soft colors you chose and the butterfly in blue really makes the chalkboard pop.

  2. Where't the heatwave? I want to be where you are! It's so terribly cold here in NY. Your chalkboard creation is so pretty, Carolyn! Love your use of new products and you've mastered the technique perfectly. Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
