Create with Connie and Mary Challenge 248

Hello Everyone,

It's a colour challenge this week at Create with Connie and Mary

Here are the challenge colours

2013 Thursday Challenges-011

These are currently In Colours that will be remaining for another 12 months once the new Stampin Up catalogue is launched, so I still have some card in these colours.

Today I've used the Hostess stamp set called Millon Dollar moments for this Top Notes Easel card.
I've used an interesting new technique on my background for the stamped image called Rainbow Block technique, where you take a large acrylic block and colour it with markers, spray it with water and stamp it onto the Very Vanilla card. I used just the 2 colours on the background - Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.   Once dry you can stamp over it and cut or adhere it to the card.

This is the full view from the front of the Top Notes Easel Card.  My greeting is from the retired Stamp Set Well Scripted.  I still like to use it from time to time and I've layered it with one of the Apothecary Accents framelits.

The next photo is of the sheet that I did the technique on, before I stamped and framed it.  I created a frame from the Top Notes die and the Oval framelits for the background to highlight the image.   As well as this sample below, you can see more examples of this technique on my previous post for the JAI Challenge - to try a new technique.

and finally, the side view of my Easel Card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of my card this week.

Have a great day.
