Freshly Made Sketches 81

Hi Everyone,

Well it's not just raining tonight, it's a torrential downpour and looking like a very wet weekend coming up once again, after a week of showers.  Not the weather we'd like, but a good excuse to stay indoors and papercraft.

Here is this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches
This is what I've created with the sketch.  I've used Daydream Medallion stamps with the Floral Framelits to create a cutout in my dsp (retired).  I've also used Papillon Potpourri butterfly stamps with the co-ordinating Elegant Butterfly punch to stamp and punch a double layered butterfly for the centre of the medallion.  The greeting is from the set Loving Thoughts.  Cardstock and Ink is Island Indigo.

Thanks for stopping by to view my card.  I appreciate your comments.  Have a great day.

    1. Used my Annual Award I got on that stamp set. It only arrived yesterday and I had to ink it straight away and try it out on this card.

  4. This is such a stunning card Carolyn! I'm not a blue person, but boy these colours really stand out to me. Love how you made a cut-out with your framelit and I would have to say this is my favourite butterfly from Papillion Potpourri - love it! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
ps. I just got back from a 2 week hol in Eden - the weather was about 22-24 each day. Qld better be that warm when I head there for our next hol in Sept!

    1. Thanks Narelle, no doubt it will be in Sept, so long as the rain doesn't chase the sun away. We've had a lovely sunny morning today 27, but it's clouding up again this afternoon and supposed to be wet again tomorrow for Back to School.

  5. Congratulations on the Princess honor from FMS for your elegant and lovely card, Carolyn! (Those are favorite colors of mine, as you can tell!) I especially love how you have patterned layers on your card, but still managed to keep it so crisp and clean!!
