Festival of Trees Tag Card

Image
Hi Everyone, How's your Sunday going?  Mine's been pretty good.  I got to catch up with my friend Justin on Skype for a couple of hours today.  We needed that as it's been at least 2 months with lots happening.  While we were talking he was creating, and we got to bounce around a few ideas and show each other projects we've been working on lately.  I love the sharing that happens.  I decided to save the cards I intended to share today for another time and make something new in line with Justin.  While I made suggestions to him for his card, I was planning my own, based on his layout, just because I could.  Its a bit like working together and yet I know both cards will look completely different.  I have a stash of tags already made so I wanted to use one on a card today.  Justin has made a very cute tag on his card.  If you follow his blog J K Cards, you will see it or you can go here for a look to check out Justin's work. On with my card. I've used a base

Blackberry Bliss Circle Framelit Flip Card

Hello Everyone, Its been a great start to the weekend here with a bit cooler temps after the rain we've had.  It was also great to have an extra girl last night here for a sleepover.  They had fun. Onto today's card which is another flip style card using the Circle Thinlit die and Festival of Trees stamp again.  Its similar to yesterday's card only this time I've used my favourite of all the In Colours for this year, called Blackberry Bliss.  Come and have a look. I've combined the Blackberry Bliss card with Gold Glimmer and Whisper White card along with a little Gold washi tape which I also put onto Whisper White to show off the pattern. I've used the Scallop Border punch for the glimmer edge on this card.  Another image from the Festival of Trees stamp set was used which I stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.  I've photographed both sides of the card standing which I'll show you below, because these cards are a little difficult to photogr

Bermuda Bay Circle Framelit flip card

Hello Everyone, I hope all my friend in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration yesterday.  I know that today for them is Black Friday and that's some sort of crazed shopping date which equates to something like our Boxing Day sales here.....lol.   I hope they all survive the day unscathed. Today's card is made using the Circle Thinlit die that creates a Flip Card.  These are a breeze to make once you have the right equipment, eg.  Bigshot and Thinlit.  Come and have a look at this once made using a base card of Bermuda Bay. I've also used Festival of Trees stamp set and Whisper White and Gold Glimmer card along with some Gold print washi tape.  The Tree was stamped in matching Bermuda bay ink and punched with the Tree punch.  Here is a closeup. I've also used the Dotted Ribbon border punch for the border down the left hand side edge.  The next photos show you the flip card standing front and then back. The greeting comes from a vintage s

Season's Greetings with Bright & Beautiful

Hello Everyone, Today I've gone back to using the Bright & Beautiful Stamp set which I love for this very clean white square card here.  I've combined the Whisper White cardstock with touches of Bermuda Bay and Silver Glimmer.  Come and have a look. Stars and Star framelits......love them. I have a classic layered star stamped in Bermuda Bay ink in the two sizes, cut with the matching Star Framelits and layered with 3D foam.  The card is finished with a little Bermuda Bay ribbon too. I hope you like this card.  Have a wonderful day.

Brushed Gold Festival of Trees Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I've used the Festival of Trees set again for this rather elegant card with a base of Brushed Gold.  Come and have a look. The Greeting and Trees have been stamped on Very Vanilla card with Mossy Meadow Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then sponged the edges of the trees after punching them out with a little Soft Suede ink.  The bottom edge of the card has been embossed with the Delicate Designs embossing folder and I've added some Crochet trim. What do you think?  Isn't it sophisticated looking.  Here is the full photo below. I'm very happy with this card for Happy Tuesday as another quick one and it looks lush.  Have a great day.

Joyful Tidings Post Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I've made some cards that have a more vintage feel to them by combining Post Card background stamp with Christmas Messages and Festival of Trees stamps.  Come and have a look. The cardstock is Crumb Cake for the base with Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla.   Inks used were Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow.  I also embossed the bottom edge of the Crumb Cake card with the Delicate Designs scallop border folder.  The card was sponged with ink and especially the embossed edge so show off the embossing more.  I made 3 of these cards today pictured below. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great day.

Joyful Tidings with Washi Tape

Hello All, How has your weekend been going?  Its been particularly warm here again today.  We are hoping for a cool change soon, or at least some rain to cool things off. Today I decided to replicate one of the card designs from yesterday's Paper Angels Christmas event.  I really love the card and I'm not sure which of the Angels in Brisbane originally designed it, but I do love the clean lines of it, with simple white card and a touch of silver combined with the All is Calm Washi tape.  I'm using some different colours and different washi. The tree punch is used here to create a cutout window in the layered circles which I've cut with the Circle Framelits.  My cardstock used is Old Olive, Whisper White and Brushed Gold.  Here are the full pictures of the cards I made today. The sentiment Joyful Tidings comes from the vintage stamp set called Christmas Messages. I wanted to also show you the card that I case'd for the design. This is the

Snow Flurry Festival of Trees card

Image
Hello Everyone, We've had our Paper Angels Charity Christmas workshop today.  What a buzz.  It was a wonderful event, a great way to spend the day with group of fantastic crafty ladies.  Kudos to Gaye and Wayne for their organisation for such a day a Big thank you to them, also to the other demonstrators to helped out as well.  I feel like I only played a minor role and I didn't have to carry the stress of the event, just look after my group of ladies. I came home and made a quick card for today's post using up a spare Tree I had previously stamped from the Festival of Trees stamp set and an embossed background using Snow Flurry embossing folder. The cardstock is Mossy Meadow, Whisper White and Brushed Gold.  I've added a little bling and I've used the Dotted Ribbon border punch for a gold edge at the bottom. Here's a full view of the card.  I'll also leave you with a few happy snaps of today's event.  Thanks so much

Festival of Trees Tags

Image
Hello Everyone, Tomorrow is our Paper Angels Charity Christmas Workshop.  Its a full day of projects to make with The Festival of Trees stamp set and All is Calm washi tape.  The final projects of the day will be to create some Christmas Tags, so I've had a play and made a few of my own with a variety of materials and textures using lots of different embossing folders which will hopefully inspire the ladies when they create theirs. Come and have a look. All my tags are cut from Whisper White card and I've used the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  Inks are Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate and Mossy Meadow. I'm not sure how well the embossing shows up but I've used a varity of embossing folders, Lacy Brocade, Lucky Stars, Stylish Stripes and Delicate Designs.  I've Bitty Banner framelits and Tree punch and Silver and Lost Lagoon Ribbons.  Here are all the tags I've made. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Its sure to be a great day tomorrow.

Happy Wonderful Washi Christmas

Image
Hello Everyone, I have another card I've made today using the Star Framelits with the washi behind, similar in design to the name tags I posted recently.  Come and have a look. The cardstock used is Lost Lagoon, Whisper White and Smoky Slate.  The Washi is from the All is Calm collection and I've used both Star and Window collection framelits along with the 2 1/2" circle punch.   I've used the Scallop Border punch as well on the Smoky Slate panel behind the greeting. The greeting Happy Wonderful Christmas comes from the Wonderous Wreath stamp set and was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink. Thanks so much for calling in today.  Have a wonderful day

Paper Craft Crew Card sketch Challenge #119

Hello Everyone, Its Wednesday again folks, welcome to our Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge featuring this sketch below. Today I've used the stamp set Peaceful Petals coloured with Blendabilities combined with the Hardwood background  and Chalk Talk stamps.  Come have a look. The cardstock used is Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I've used my blendabilities in Wisteria, Olive and Daffodil to colour the flowers from the Peaceful Petals stamp set.  Stamped the Crumb Cake Background card with Hardwood inked with Soft Suede ink. I've been concentrating on Christmas cards of late so I needed a change.  I needed a butterfly on this card because its been a while.  I used my trusty Beautiful Wings die and cut one out of Crumb Cake card.   Hoping you will join us at the Paper Craft Crew for this weeks challenge.  We would love to see how you interpret the sketch and look forward to seeing your creations this week.
