The alternate card at my Cancer Event

Image
Hello everyone, I hope you've had a fabulous weekend.  Mine could only be better if I was pain free.  I may have overdone things yesterday at my Biggest Morning Tea.  I've had very little sleep because of the ache in my shoulder again.  Nevermind, I'm sure with time it will get better.  One can hope. I wanted to share one last card we did for the Biggest Morning tea, same style as first in some alternate colours/pattern due to necessicity and last minute bookings, I didn't quite have enough of the first for everyone. This card used the same base of Rich Razzleberry and was combined with Soft Sky (in lieu of Pool Party) and a different patterned sheet from the Printed Blooms pack.  I decided to use Hello Honey for the butterfly on this one to bring our the yellow flower centres in the patterned paper.  There is a border strip of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer underneath the hexs.  Below I have a pic of the two cards side by side.  Which ...

Biggest Morning Tea Event & Cards

Image
Hello Everyone, Thanks for calling in today.  I want to tell you all what a wonderful time we had this morning at the Biggest Morning Tea.  I have a lot of people to thank who actually helped make today a great success and I think a good time was had by all.  Several of my fellow Paper Angels assisted today with the donation of prizes and also bringing along tools and stamps to share and many of the ladies brought along a plate, or especially baked for me.  I have lots of photos to add to give you an idea. First though, I would like to share the Easel card we made at today's event.  I love Easel cards and butterflies, so why not combine the two.  Come and have a look. The cardstock used is Basic Black, Pool Party and Whisper White.  I've added inks to the mix of Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate and a green brad from my retired stash to the centre of the die cut Black butterfly.  The Patterned paper comes from the pack called Back to black ...

Biggest Morning Tea Cancer fundraiser

Hello Everyone, Today I wanted to share one of the simple cards we will be making at tomorrow's Biggest Morning Tea & Cardmaking event.  I am hosting this one and getting some assistance from fellow Paper Angels Gaye and Zena.  I'm really looking forward to it. Come and have a look at this one. I've combined cardstock of Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Whisper White and Dazzling diamonds glimmer paper for this card and teamed with patterned papers from the Printed Blooms pack.  I created hex shaped windows with the Hexagonal punch and adhered the patterned paper behind them. Here's the full view of my finished card.  The greeting comes from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and I've added a Papillon Potpourri butterfly to finish this card, topped with a basic rhinestone.   Thanks very much for stopping by today.  Tomorrow I will be back with more from the event. Cheers.

Chalk Talk Vintage Butterfly Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday to you.  I have a lovely walk with a friend this morning but it was not so happy for me this afternoon, although I do hope to get a resolution to my shoulder problem soon.  The girls and I all had appointments to attend which did not leave much time today for crafting. Today I have a card that uses up lots of little bits and pieces and some vintage products from my stash.  Come and have a look. The Cardstock I've choses is Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe.  The vintage patterned papers are from a pack called Soho Subway and the stamps used are Chalk Talk, Itty Bitty Banners and Papillon Potpourri.  I've combined Sahara Sand Lace and some of the Flower trim from the embellishment kit. I feel good about using up some of my stash, particularly with our new catalogue coming up soon and some of these stamps on the retirement list.  Here's the full pic of my card. I hope you all have...

Can You Case It? #71 - Coastal Cabana Butterfly Easel Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to the Can You Case It? weekly challenge.  From next month these colours will no longer be available, so we are saying goodbye. My choices for this challenge are Coastal Cabana combined with Baked Brown Sugar.  I've also added the Gold Fancy Foil Vellum and Gold Foil with a little Whisper White for this card.   Here it is.  I've created an Easel card based on a 14 x 14cm square base. The feature of this card is the Beautiful layered butterfly cut with the Butterfly thinlits dies out of Coastal Cabana card and Gold foil.  I've used the In Colour Boutique Details for the centre and the base of my card and the Scallop Border and Decorative Label punches.  Here's a closer look at my Butterfly. Here's a picture of the base of the card.  The greeting here comes from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and this layered panel forms the anchor for this Easel to stand.  I've also added some of the Coastal Cabana r...

Strawberry Slush Butterfly Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How is your weekend going?  I'm in pain with this shoulder, but hopefully there will be some relief next week when I have it needled.  For my card today I wanted to use up some of the retiring card and I chose Strawberry Slush with my Butterfly Thinlit die.  Come and have a look. I've combined it with the Butterfly Basics and Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Back to Black designer patterned paper.  Behind the die cut butterfly I have Dazzling diamonds glimmer paper which was traced from the Strawberry Slush negative and then cut out by hand and adhered behind.  I love that little bit of sparkle. I love the contrast of the black and white against the Strawberry Slush.  I used the Scallop punch to create a Whisper White border along the bottom edge of the my card and the Apothecary Accent framelits for the shaped mat where my layered Butterfly rests. I hope you've enjoyed today's card.  Have a wonderful day.

Perfect Blend

Image
Hello Everyone, How has your day been? I've had to do lots of running around today for my hubby, as well as squeeze in a Dental appointment for myself.  That was heaps of fun, lol. Today I have a card featuring another of my favourite things... coffee.  I've used the Perfect Blend stamp set which is on our Retiring list. The cardstock I've used is Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand and Whisper White combined with some Moonlight patterned paper and Irresistibly Yours dsigner paper which I brayered in Daffodil Delight Ink. I've also used the Window Collection framelits  to cut the paper and mat for the Coffee cups.  Here's the whole pic of the card. The Label Love stamp set and matching Artisan Label punch also on the Retiring list have been used for the greeting.  I am trying to use Retiring products where possible before our new catalogue goes live. I hope you like today's card and you have a wonderful day.

Blackberry Butterfly Thinking of You

Image
Hello Everyone, How was your day?  We had some medical appointments both yesterday and today for myself and my daughter, as we both currently have sporting injuries.  My eldest daughter who is not the sporty one in the family is now telling us how glad she is that she doesn't play sport and look at us, look what can happen.  Lol. Onto today's card which I've made with a Butterfly and some scraps I had on my desk.  The butterfly stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink comes from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and is cut with the matching framelits.  It adorns a card consisting of a Blackberry Bliss base which has been layered with patterned papers from the Moonlight paper stack.  I chose the gray and the yellow patterns to contrast the Blackberry and I've used the Label Framelits on the retiring list to cut a mat from Basic Gray card for the Butterfly to sit. I am on a mission to use up for of these papers and leftover bits on my desk before they are no l...
