Biggest Morning Tea Event & Cards
Hello Everyone,
Thanks for calling in today. I want to tell you all what a wonderful time we had this morning at the Biggest Morning Tea. I have a lot of people to thank who actually helped make today a great success and I think a good time was had by all. Several of my fellow Paper Angels assisted today with the donation of prizes and also bringing along tools and stamps to share and many of the ladies brought along a plate, or especially baked for me. I have lots of photos to add to give you an idea.
First though, I would like to share the Easel card we made at today's event. I love Easel cards and butterflies, so why not combine the two. Come and have a look.
The cardstock used is Basic Black, Pool Party and Whisper White. I've added inks to the mix of Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate and a green brad from my retired stash to the centre of the die cut Black butterfly. The Patterned paper comes from the pack called Back to black and the stamp set used is Butterfly Basics. Here's a closer look.
I've used the embossing folder called Spring flowers on the background here and the Label framelits to cut the Whisper White Label shape. We also decorated the inside of this card.
And a side view of the card here to show you how it sits. I thought this was really pretty and I also had the ladies decorate an envelope so they could stamp it to match.
Here's some pics from the morning:- That pic was only half the food, I wasn't quick enough with the camera, lol.
Thanks to my amazing cooks, Betty (my mil) & Vi and Richies Bakery for their food donation towards the morning tea. Thanks to Paper Angels who assisted, Zena and Gaye , pictured here with Joanne.
Vi's sausage rolls are always so popular, see pictuted on the table (above) and also the Passionfruit sponge cake (below). There was none left over.
Heaps of prizes, and ladies enjoying themselves.
My girls also helped me this morning, one was behind the camera here taking a pic on youngest, lol.
I have to say a big thank you to them though. They really did help me a lot.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for sharing Carolyn. I'm happy to hear you had a great day.
ReplyDeleteLovely card.
Thanks very much Vicki, yes we really did. I raised $537 total for the day for Cancer council.
DeleteBeautiful card. I have that butterfly die and now another idea of how to use it. So glad your event went well. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It's fun when everyone pitches in to help out.
ReplyDeleteThank you HJ, many hands make light work, so the saying goes. I couldn't have hoped for better. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
DeleteCongratulations. It certainly looks like it was a great success for a very worthy cause! All those pics are making me hungry! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd very pretty cards too. I always love your easel cards.
