Cards using up some Paper Scraps
Hello Everyone,
How are you this Saturday? I have no particular plans other than it's school holidays here and I've taken my daughter to work for a few hours this morning.
Things have been getting a bit messy again in my work area and thought it was time I dealt with some of the scraps I've created lately. I wanted to share some cards I've made to use up the ever increasing pile of bits cluttering my workspace. Do you have that problem too? I never want to throw anything out that I think I might be able to use, but you just can't keep storing everything. I'm not just talking about craft items here either, but here are the cards.
The first one uses the Beautiful Wings butterflies die. I had cut out extra butterflies with the die earlier in the week trying out the embossed vellum look for another card.
The base of my card is Pool Party and I've created a frame with Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry card with the Deco Label framelits. The White was stamped with the swirl from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder. This piece had been sitting waiting for use for a couple of weeks. The patterned paper behind and the button in the butterfly centre are leftovers from Sale-a-bration. I'm sure I'm not the only one still left with some of these to use up. Here is a closer look at that Butterfly.
Both of the layers of butterflies were embossed with the Pretty Prints embossing Folder.
Next is a card I've made using the Feel Goods stamp set plus Secret Garden & Papillon Potpourri stamps.
The greeting cut with the Oval collection framelits has been sitting around for probably a couple of months as with the Secret Garden flowers from a class earlier this year. The cardstock is Rich Razzleberry for my base card, Whisper White and Pool Party. The White has been embossed with the Mosaics embossing folder, the flowers cut with their matching framelits and a butterfly was added from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. The paper on the background is once again from the Sale-a-bration paper pack called Sycamore Street and same with the matching button. Here's a closer look at those elements.
Lastly, here are my 2 latest cards side by side. I hope this will leave you inspired to declutter your table and create with some leftovers.
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.

Great use of your scraps. TFS.
ReplyDeleteI have a never ending pile of scraps!
Me too Vicki. I think I could easily spend a couple of weeks making cards from scraps but I get bored and have to change things up all the time, then that just creates more doesn't it.
