Merry Little Christmas - 2 cards

Hello Everyone,

I'm on a bit of a Christmas Card mission at the moment.  An upcoming Card Buffet will do that to you.

I must have a number of different cards done for the ladies to choose to make at the Buffet and thought I would make it a little quicker and easier on myself by puchasing the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit and Stamp set (page 27 Holiday Catalogue).  You can save on these products if purchased as a bundle.

Here is the card I made with the kit.  I did make some modifications to it, adding a few extra bits, but that is the beauty of them.  You can keep them as quick and easy as you like, or add a little more and really dress them up.

I embossed the tag with the Snow Flurry embossing folder and added a Real Red punched border as well as some Real Red grosgrain ribbon and a punched glimmer flower beneath the button.  I also stamped the greeting on some extra Whisper White card and cut with the Deco Label framelits before adding that to my tag, raised on dimentionals.

On to the second card I've made today.

I thought it would be a good opportunity to repeat the layout with some of my retired supplies and I must say I'm really happy with the result for another quick card.

This one uses a base card of Naturals White with a Gumball Green border, dsp from the Paper stack Festival of Prints & Cherry Cobbler Tulle ribbon (last year's Holiday catalogue), Two Tags die embossed with Petals a Plenty embossing folder and the layered greeting,  A Vintage brad finishes it off.  Here is the closeup.

finally, so you can see the two cards I've made side by side.

The kit one is a slightly different size to our standard cards here in Australia, however the kit comes with envelopes, liners and materials to complete a set of 8 cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great one, won't you!  See ya next time.
