You make me Happy

Hello Everyone,

How are you this Monday?  We are having a few showers here, but I'm really grateful for the rain.  A few rain clouds are not a bother to me at all.  In fact they actually prompted today's card.  I'm using a cute Sale-a-bration set called See ya Later and the particular stamp in question says "You make me Happy when skies are gray".  You may remember the song.

Here is my card.



I'm not sure if this card is an original, it may be CASE'd in part.  I'm not sure, as I've seen these elements combined before by other demos.  So if I have been inspired by another - thank you.  Please let me know and I'll give credit where it's due.

I've used cardstock of Smoky Slate, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight on my card with the Starburst and Speech Bubble framelits and Cloudy Day embossing folder.  It's a quick and simple card, but it really makes me smile because I have a number of friends that I share of love of music with and who really do make me happy.  Music soothes me and often improves my mood and my wellbeing.  I could give this card to any number of them.

    I haven't seen it quite like this Carolyn. It is a lovely idea. The sunburst framelit is very eye-catching isn't it.Vx

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
