Sami's Birthday Card
Hello Everyone,
My daughter went to a Birthday Party yesterday afternoon for her friend Sami. I was really at a loss as to what sort of card to make, the initial criteria being was that she liked the colour green.
Well Anna looked through my stash of cards and was unhappy with her choices and she also looked through my green cardstock, deciding they were yucky so eventually chose Bermuda Bay, a jade green which has been teemed with Basic Black and Very Vanilla. She also chose the style of the card, an Easel card and requested the heart. I had another card similar to his, in a square form, but she decided a new easel card was required, so this is what I came up with using our Hearts collection framelits, Creative elements vintage stamp set and Beautiful Wings Butterflies dies. I have added some little pearls to the swirls and the butterflies.
I was happy that I got to combine two things I love in creating this card - Butterflies and Easel, my favourite type of card. Here is the layered greeting at the base of the Easel card.
I've used the Decorative Label Punch and the Label Love stamp set and matching Artisan Label punch here. The patterned paper on the front panel of the card under the Heart comes from the now retired Modern Medley Paper pack. I've taken a side pic of this easel card to show you how it sits.
The final picture I took is of the front view of the whole card. I hope she likes it.
Thanks very much for calling in today.
