Winter Frost Snowflake

Image
Hello Everyone,   Happy Halloween, if you celebrate such things.  Its Friday evening 31st here and we've just returned home from a Spooky instrumental concert this evening held at the High School to showcase the work the instrumental students have been learning this year.  My youngest daughter Anna plays with the Concert band and now plays 2 instruments, Flute and Alto Saxophone.   I had this card prepared in advance for today's post and it features Vintage products Snow Flurry die along with the winter Frost paper stack and I've also used some extra letters from this years Watercolor Wonder card kit.  Come and have a look.         The cardstock used is Smoky Slate & Whisper white with some Silver Glimmer for the snowflake.  ?The White cardstock letters were watercoloured with Coastal Cabana Ink.   Here's the finished card.         Thanks very much for stopping by today. ...

Snowman Flip Card

Image
Hello Everyone,   Today I have another Christmas card to show you.  This time I've made a flip card using the Circle Card Thinlits and the snowman from the vintage set Jolly Old Saint Nick.  Come and have a look.       The cardstock used is Lost Lagoon and Whisper white which I've combined with some of last years Winter Frost patterned paper.  The stamping has also been done with Lost Lagoon ink.   Here are pictures of the card front, flip side and reverse.       I've also used some border punches for the trim - Scallop Edge border and Dotted ribbon border.       These cards are a little difficult to photograph.  You really must take pics from all angles so the final card I have to show you below is laying flat so you can see how the card sits ready for posting.         Thanks so much for calling in today to see what I've made.  Hope...

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #116

Image
Hello from Downunder, Welcome to the Wednesday card sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew .  Here is our sketch for this week's challenge.  Can't wait to see what you make with it. I've decided to make a Christmas card using Merry Everything stamps and Trim the Tree designer Christmas paper stack, both available from the Holiday catalogue.  The Cardstock used is Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler. Here's a closer look at the framed image.  It's stamped in Mossy Meadow ink directly onto the patterned paper and has been adhered under the frame.  To represent the circle on the sketch I've added one of our Snowflake embellishments. I hope you like my card.  Please do visit the Paper Craft Crew site and see with our other Designers has made for your inspiration this week too.   We hope that you will join in. World of Dreams Screen Card for Happy Tuesday

Image
Hello Everyone,   Happy Tuesday to you.  Is it hot enough for you?  We had storms last night and you'd think that bit of rain would cool things down, but no, just as hot and muggy today and more storms predicted.    Onto today's card.  I've been wanting to make one of these screen cards for a while and was inspired recently again by a couple I've seen.  I was greatly taken by a card from Kay E. Schwab .  I'm combining stamps sets World of Dreams, Papillon Potpourri and Memorable Moments.  You all know how I feel about butterflies, so you know that this card makes me smile.         The cardstock used is Early Espresso, Whisper White, Hello Honey and Tangello Twist.  The designer paper used is from the 2014-2016 In colour stack.       The Birthday Greeting on the Label framelit comes from the stamp set Memorable moments.     I've used the ...

Beautiful Wings in Gold

Hello Everyone, While I had the remnants out from my recent Golden Anniversary card for my parents, I made a simple card out of the same colours and materials featuring a Gold layered butterfly cut from the Gold Foil with the Beautiful Wings embosslits.  Come and have a look. The cardstock used is Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Gold foil with some gold printed vellum.  I've used the Label and Apothecary Accent framelits here and embossed the Vanilla label with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  The "Celebrate" comes from the Good Greetings Hostess stamp set.  Here is the full view of the card. I've also used some punches, Ribbon Border and Modern Label. Quick, simple and elegant. Have a fabulous day. Carolyn xx

Cards for Aussie Troops and some weekend pics from Golden Anniversary celebrations.

Hello Everyone, I have no creations of my own to share with you this weekend.  Instead I have a couple of creations that I turned into cards, that were actually part of swaps from my dear friend Vicki of Cards on the Table with Vicki.   I knew I would have no time for creating this weekend with my parents 50th Wedding anniversary down the Gold Coast.  We've been away and had a lovely time. Here are Vicki's cards.  A tag card A wonderful creation using Bird Builder and various other punches. And a Present Card I am sure that my friend Vicki won't mind me showing these to you on her behalf, and I'm sure she will give me permission to send these cards, as extras that I donate to our Aussie Troops. Now I wanted to show you a couple of pics from my weekend away.  It was due to my parents 50th Anniversary, the card for which I already showed you.  Here are my Mum and Dad Here is my youngest sister Gen and me (such a fun girl) ...

A Golden Wedding Anniversary - Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

Image
Hello Everyone, Today's card is a special one.  It's my parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary today and we have a celebration planned this weekend.  Yes, they have been married 50 years.  Of course the family asked me to make a card to fit the occasion.  Here's what I've made. I've used Very Vanilla Card combined with some Gold Foil and Gold Printed Vellum, Hearts and Apothecary Accents framelits along withvarious punches.  Here is a closeup of those hearts on the card front.  The hearts actually overhang the card front which I've trimmed shorter than the back of the card. I've taken a pic of the card standing and the inside so you understand how I've card the card here. The stamps I've used are Memorable Moments and Layered Labels sets which were Gold heat embossed.  The final picture I have to show you is a matching envelope I've made out of the Gold Printed vellum. Hope you have a lovely day.  I will probably mi...

Happy Birthday Jan (for yesterday)

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for a friend and fellow Stampin Up Demonstrator Jan who lives in Victoria.  I am hopeful that she has received it by now so that I can publish my blog post without spoiling the surprise.  It was actually the Birthday Girl's special day yesterday. I've made this easel card using the Deco Label Framelits and Lovely Lace embossing folder.  Combine that with Beautiful Wings embosslits and the Vintage Little Leaves die, cardstock of Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay and Whisper white, and we have a lovely card.  I think it is anyway, so I hope Jan also thinks so.   This photo shows the front of the card with the butterfly layers. These next photos show the base of the card and inside. The Greeting used on the base of my card as an anchor for the easel comes from the stamp set called Label Everything.   Here is one last picture of the full card.  Once ag...

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #115

Image
Hello Everyone, Its Wednesday again so that means its time for our Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge.  I wonder what you will do with this sketch. I've decided to use the stamp set Perfect Blend for my card today. The cardstock used here is Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake combined with Patterned Papers from the Trim the Tree paper stack.  I've embossed the Cherry Cobbler background with the Snow Flurry embossing folder. I've added some Cherry Cobbler seam binding to this card.  It's a very warm and cosy card, perfect for our Northern Hemisphere friends, not so much suitable for our Christmas climate downunder. I hope this card has inspired you to have a go at this sketch and join in the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week.  We would love to see what you create.  Have a great day.

A Very Merry Everything....

Image
Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday.  I have a lovely walk this morning with my friend Sharon as we do most Tuesdays and it was a little cooler.  Showers were expected today too, and we missed them which was good, then afterwards we enjoyed our coffee and muffins. I've had several cards on the go at once today, but the one I want to show you is another Christmas Card featuring the tag stamp set called Merry Everything which can be purchased in a bundle with a matching punch.  Come and have a look. I've used cardstock of Cherry Cobbler and Pistachio Pudding combined with ink of Mossy Meadow and patterned paper from the Trim the Tree stack. I hope you enjoyed viewing today's card.  Please drop by again soon and have a Happy Tuesday.

Thinking of You

Hello Everyone, How has your day been? Mine started off promising with my usual Monday morning Badminton, but did deteriorate a little as the day went on.  I am trying to please everyone, and its not working. Today I needed a card to lift my spirits, and butterflies usually do that for me. Come and see what I've made. The cardstock used is Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black and Whisper White.  The Butterfly comes from the stamp set Papillon Potpourri and is punched and layered with the matching Elegant Butterfly punch.  My Elegant Eggplant layer was embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder.  The Greeting comes from the set called Peaceful Petals. Here is a full view of the card.  I also added silver glimmer paper and some Basic Pearls to this card.   Combining some of my favourite things should help improve my mood shouldn't it.  I hope you all have a great day.
