Just Add Ink # 193 - Inspiration Challenge
Hello Stampers,
How are you going this weekend? I've had a pretty good one. It was quite social catching up with my class ladies yesterday and friends last night. Out this morning taking my daughter to work and running into more friends we haven't seen in a while. It's that busy time of year, isn't it.
Today's card is one I've made over for the girls at Just Add Ink for their Inspiration challenge. Here is the photo below for inspiration.
I've gone for the inspiration of the colours, Gold, Red & Blue with some wonderful stars. They immediately make think of Christmas, so surprise, surprise, I'm making another Christmas Card. I've used banners and framelits on my card from Holiday Collection and Hearts a Flutter sets plus the Expressions Framelit word "Merry". There is absolutely no stamping at all, however there is lots of texture with a variety of embossing folders added and stars in both Gold Foil and Champagne Glimmer.
The paper is from the Season of Style stack available from the Holiday catalogue. My Cardstock is Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive with a little Soho Subway dsp on one of the banners. Here is a closer look.
I always think of stars on top of the Christmas tree and it was fitting today, being 1st December that our tree went up. Here is a pic of my eldest daughter with the tree decorating in progress. When I saw her in action it prompted my card for this challenge.
Have a great week.
Sounds like a busy weekend, like the card, it is "very bright", see you next weekend
ReplyDeleteYes it is bright, thanks Michelle. See you then.
DeleteThe banner, and the little stars, are just so sweet Carolyn. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Christine
DeleteLot's of Christmas cheer and happy colours on this one Carolyn, love the star bunting. Thanks for joining in at JAI. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Nikki
DeleteTime to get a bigger tree! The girls are nearly taller than it! LOL. Decorating is always fun to do. Hope you had the Christmas Carols playing in the background. Great Card with lots of interest on it. Vx
ReplyDeleteThis is a big tree, LOL! Karree is my shortie, don't think she's gonna grow alot taller. Takes after her Mum.
DeleteI love all the different textures in your banner. The smoothness of the Gold foil is a good contrast. Chantell JAI
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Chantell
DeleteHi Carolyn, I'm glad I found another person who puts up their tree on the 1st December! Ours went up last Sunday too! Love that you used all the colours and putting the gold touch just makes it! Louise x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Lou. Yeah we are traditionalists with our tree up from 1st. The other Christmas lights aren't going to be up until Friday though, when my husband gets home from working away. Have a lovely Christmas.
