Grandma's Birthday


Hello Everyone,

This weekend my Grandma will celebrate another birthday and we take this opportunity for a family reunion being so close to Christmas.  Now in her 90's lots of the family make an effort to see her each year.  This is the card I've created for Grandma.


I've used the Thinlits Circle Framelits for this Flip Card and added an extra panel so there's room for a message to be written privately on the inside.  Normally, I would make the standard size and write on the back.  This way gives a little more room.  Here is the inside.

I've used Little Leaves die with a Simply Pressed Clay flower on the front circle and on the flipside, inside I've used the Happy Birthday greeting from the Label Something stamp set.  I've also used Papillon Potpourri stamp set and Elegant Butterfly punch to decorate the front.


The cardstock is Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Pink Pirouette.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Music Teacher Farewell // Paper Players #173 Shaped Card Challenge

Hello Everyone, It's a sad week for my daughter and her friends who have really enjoyed what the music program offered them at the High School this year.  Their very talented teacher will be moving on to a new school and they're having a little party for their last day of the Vocal ensemble practice which was an extra activity that he undertook with the students, as well as teaching them to play all sorts of instruments in lesson times. His speciality though, Guitar!  I have decided to enter this card into the Paper Players Shaped Card Challenge this week.  While not specifically made for the challenge, I think it's a pretty cool shape and fits the criteria.  I also think more people deserve to see this card. When asked to make a card for the group to give him, with that in mind I found some inspiration on Pinterest and came up with this card. Create with Connie and Mary - CCMC229

Hi Everyone, Here is this weeks Sketch Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary which I've decided to play along with. I've changed my card up a little from the sketch you see.  Instead of the flower on the sketch being the focal point, I've used a Bow and Vintage Brad.  I've used the Stamp Set Forever Young on my card stamped with Stazon Ink and I've brayered the background with Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz inks.  The patterned paper on my card is from the Festival of Prints stack and my cardstock is Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Pool Party, with some Pool Party Seam Binding.  The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.
