Love You

Hello Everyone,

How's Monday treating you?  Mine's pretty busy.

We have relatives visiting and another friend here today.  Don't you love this time of year, when you have time to catch up during the holiday break with family and friends you don't see that often.

Because I've had to make a mad dash down to the shopping centre to pick some rellies up this afternoon who missed their connecting bus, I've had to make a really quick card.

This can be a Valentine's card and I went with simple elegance.


My Card is Basic Black which has been embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing folder, then I've added a banner of Modern Medley patterned paper and a layered heart cut with Framelits Hearts a Flutter and Hearts Collection from Silver Glimmer Card and Raspberry Ripple respectively.  The Raspberry heart has been embossed with the Square lattice embossing folder and I've added the Greeting "Love You" from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.

Can't get much quicker or simpler than this card.  Here is a closeup of the layered heart.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
