Just Add Ink Challenge # 194 - Santa

Hello Everyone,

How fitting is it that the Just Add Ink challenge is to add Santa to your entry.  This is my very last Christmas Card this year I promise. I really need to get my cards in the post.  I've only sent a handful so far and they were the ones travelling overseas and interstate.

I've decided to make an Easel Card this time and have used a retired stamp set called Jolly Old Saint Nick.  He really is a Jolly looking fellow, so cute, coloured with blender pens and markers.  On my embossed background I've used Season of Style Washi tape along the lines made by the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.   Here is my entry.


 The greeting is from the set called Christmas Messages from the current Holiday Catalogue which has been cut out with the Deco Label framelits.  Santa is sitting on circles cut with the Circles Collection Framelits.  Here is a closer look.

Very traditional colours here as I wanted to use my Season of Style Washi tape on this card.  Here's the side view of the easel, below.

    What a lovely card, Carolyn. I really like the technique of using washi tape lined up with the embossed lines. The Santa mounted on silver glimmer paper looks fabulous. Thanks for playing along with us at Just Add Ink this week!

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Music Teacher Farewell // Paper Players #173 Shaped Card Challenge

Hello Everyone, It's a sad week for my daughter and her friends who have really enjoyed what the music program offered them at the High School this year.  Their very talented teacher will be moving on to a new school and they're having a little party for their last day of the Vocal ensemble practice which was an extra activity that he undertook with the students, as well as teaching them to play all sorts of instruments in lesson times. His speciality though, Guitar!  I have decided to enter this card into the Paper Players Shaped Card Challenge this week.  While not specifically made for the challenge, I think it's a pretty cool shape and fits the criteria.  I also think more people deserve to see this card. When asked to make a card for the group to give him, with that in mind I found some inspiration on Pinterest and came up with this card. JAI176 - Just Add Blokes & CCMC 2nd Entry

Hi Everyone, I thought this weeks Just Add Ink challenge - "Just Add Blokes" was a great opportunity to get in and make a Male card .  For those of you outside Australia, "Blokes" is another name for Men. Today I'm using Mosaic Madness bundle set teamed with a greeting from Loving Thoughts stamp set.  I don't understand why, but the simplest cards seem to take me the longest.  I agonise over them, and yet I can make something much more involved quicker, when I have a clear vision in mind. I've taken the colours for this card from the colour challenge this week for Create with Connie and Mary so this card is doing double duty for both challenges.
