Today's Card and photo highlights of the Instrumental Music Showcase

Hello Everyone,

You may remember the other day, I dusted off Betsy, a stamp set I hadn't used in a long time for the JAI challenge.  Well I made more than one card with it and this time instead of using the blossoms in all their glory, I just used the sweet little birdie for today's card in soft colours.  I've also combined it with the Chalk Talk stamp set and matching framelits and punched some leaves with the Bird Builder punch.  Here it is.

I've also used the Itty Bitty Banners for the birthday greeting here.  Cardstock is Pool Party, Whisper White and Smoky Slate.   Sweet card, am I right?  Well I think so.  The patterned paper is from the Winter Frost specialty pack and the White background here was embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.    Have a closer look at that tag on the card.

So now that my business at hand is attended to, thought you might like to see another talented member of our family.  This time it's musical talent, and trust me, it wasn't passed on from her mother.  We all have our own special talents don't we.  Tuesday night saw us attending the first ever Annual Instrumental Music Showcase which was a combination of musicians from both Noosa District SHS and Cooroy SS.  My daughter Anna is in her final year at Cooroy State School and plays the flute in their Concert Band.  It was great to see the different levels from the young beginners right through to the High School Band that perform in competition and various community events.  Here are just a few photos for those that are interested.  Just click on them to enlarge if you wish.

Waiting on the sidelines, then up on the stage.

Those in the black uniforms are part of the Noosa District High School Band - Riley on the left Brass (with the cute eyelashes, so I'm told) and Lauren on the right and Emma on the right - Clarinets

These girls are all in Year 7 and this will be their final year with the Cooroy State School Concert band.  from L - R Emily, Anna (middle) and Eliza.    We are hoping they all continue their music in High School next year.

Hope you've enjoyed seeing a few pictures from what was a fantastic night of music.  There is so much talent in our family, LOL!
